When I first heard of Vonnegutt, I'll be honest, I wasn't really a fan. But, overtime, I kept seeing their name pop up here and there, so I decided to give them another chance a few months back, and I am glad I did. Their sound has really grown on me, and I WISH I could give you some sort of explanation of their sound, but honestly, it's so original, and so hard to classify. Just check out a couple of the tracks on this dope mixtape. Plus, as an added bonus to the great tracks, $Free.99 is packed with so many dope features from great artists. Enjoy it.
Runaway - Vonnegutt ft. 2am Club & Sonny Shotz
What A Job - Vonnegutt ft. Cutty Cartel, Aleon Craft & STS
Over Being Sober - Vonnegutt ft. Mat Musto, Syd Vicious & Machine Gun Kelly
Dammit - Vonnegutt ft. OnCue, Hoodie Allen & Shanell AKA SnL
This track it pretty dope. Spotted it over on The K, and it's honestly perfect for my mood right now. Long ass day at work, so I just sat back, and turned this joint up. The guys at The K really hit the nail on the head when they said that his flow is a little like Tayyib Ali. Check it out, and watch for more from this new comer.
Hot video, for a hot track. Really simple visuals, nothing to wild, but I really like it. Luke Christopher is really making a name for himself fast, so watch out. Enjoy it, and if you haven't already, grab the track below.
How did I sleep on this? I'm a big fan of Truth Himself. His sound is so different, and everyone knows how much I love a different sound. You hear a song by Truth, and you know it's him without hesitation. I really think Truth should get a lot more hype than he gets now. This tape is actually sick. Right now, I'm about 3/4 through the it, and I have yet to find a song that Idon'tlike. There's mellow tracks, party tracks and even really lyrical tracks. Where's The Exit is sick, so nothing more needs to be said. Here's a few of my favorite tracks, then download the whole tape below. Enjoy it.
I am a huge fan of ORBs now. With their 4th video, they have an amazing track once again. These Dublin boys have such a great sound, and it's so refreshing. A real heavy lyrical track, but amazing regardless. I have huge hopes that these guys will blow up. Enjoy it.
I knew Skizzy was going to to things. From the second I heard Douchebag, I knew Skizzy Mars was going to start really coming out. I really dig his chill vibe, and once again, he has a sound that is different from everyone else, which I am a huge fan of. Dope track, so watch out for more from this up comer. Enjoy it.
This is actually so sick. Dope sample, dope flow, just overall, an amazing track. I am a huge fan of Julius Myth, and I really don't understand why he doesn't get more hype than he gets, because to be honest, he has some serious talent. Anyway, amazing track as always, so check it out, and Enjoy it.
I'm at a loss for words. This is un-friggin-real. An amazing track, with an amazing video. Seriously, if you haven't heard of Kam Royal, or if you had ANY doubts about his talent, this is bound to change that. Kam's flow is dope, his rhymes are smooth, the hook is catchy and you find yourself bobbing your head for the entire track. Dude is a leak off his upcoming tape, Vindicated which is scheduled for release June 4th. From the sounds of this track, I'm pumped for this mixtape, so you should get excited too. The video was really well done, so HUGE shout out to the director, Tyler Lee. Enjoy.
***If this video gets 100,000 views, Kam will release a DL link, so watch it alot.***
DOPE! Kam dropped an mp3... cop that below.
Fresh visuals from a HotLeaks favorite, Dylan Owen, for his sick track, Book Report. Some show visuals put together by none other than Jon Kilmer. Hot stuff for a hot track. Enjoy it, and watch for more to come from Dylan Owen.
It's here. The highly anticipated mixtape from Chiddy Bang is here, and I think it has lived up to the hype. I'm a huge fan of Xaphoon's production, and I really think he can do no wrong. I am also a big fan of Chiddy as well, his flow is so fluid and enjoyable. Together, they make magic happen. I really don't think I should have to hype this up anymore than what has been done already for it, so here are a few of my favorites, then download the whole mixtape.
All Over - Chiddy Bang ft. Gordon Voidwell
Dancing With the DJ (Remix) - Chiddy Bang
You Think My Old Shit Is Hard? (You Ain't Seen Nothin') - Chiddy Bang
New track from the producer-rapper combo of Erik Paul and J. Farell (who brought us Off My Chest). This one is pretty sick. When I first saw it, I thought it was going to just rip off the beat from WDGAF, the track just put out by Chris Webby, but it didn't, so I was pleasantly surprised. Check this one out, and get excited for Erik Paul's upcoming mixtape, The EPdemic. Enjoy.
Justin W is back doing his thing. He's one of those guys who has a different sound, so I love what he does. Plus, he produces all his own tracks, and the guy knows how to put together a catchy beat. Anyway, enjoy the track.
A little late on this track. Cole does his thing, like usual, and absolutely kills the track. No explanation needed really. J. Cole + a sick beat + Lion King references = dopeness. Enjoy
This is dope. I'll be honest, as much as I respect Asher Roth, his tracks are usually hit or miss with me. This one is a hit for sure. Asher absolutely kills it. His flow is so smooth, so fluid, and so quick. Plus, Akon does what he does best, a dope hook. Check this one out for sure. Hot stuff. Enjoy.
If you visit the site, then you might have noticed that I NEVER post other peoples interviews with artists. This time i'm making an exception. I am a huge fan of Riley (and I know a lot of you are as well), so I really respect him as an artist, and love to see/hear anything with him on it (even if it's something I would never listen to otherwise i.e. a glee track). PLUS the lines that he spits in the last minute of the video are sick. I'm hoping that soon I'll grab an interview with him, but for now, enjoy the video.
I love this sample, so I pretty much needed to post this track. Adam K, a new face to the game, is a freshman out of NJ. I had been sent a couple Adam K tracks in the past, and to be honest, at the time, I wasn't really feeling them. This track really changed those preconceptions. If Adam keeps putting out tracks with the same flow and skill that he has on this one, I will keep downloading and posting, because New July is sick. Check it out, and be on the watch for more from Adam K. Enjoy.
This actually is pretty tough. This colabo is one that I would have never guessed to be honest. WDGAF (We Don't Give A Fuck) is another leak off Webby's upcoming mixtape, Webster's Laboratory, which I think is going to be pretty sick. I'll be honest, Zoe has always been a guilty pleasure of mine, so it's dope to see him on the track. Enjoy it.
Awesome. I really feel like I don't need to explain this post at all. Collin does an amazing acoustic cover of Swedish House Mafia's track Save The World. The video was shot and produced by Jon Kilmer. Other than that, the track really speaks for itself. Enjoy it.
New track from Rich Kid SoundSystem. This one has a lofty feel about it. I know that makes no sense, but the track just feels like it's floating. Nothing wrong with that, because it's actually pretty sick. I'm really starting to dig the RKS sound, so I will be watching for more. Enjoy it.
Ok, so today, on my day off, I'm sitting here just skimming through my iTunes, and this track comes on, and I realize that I never ended up posting it. Thats just a shame, because it's actually a pretty dope track from a few fresh faces. The two new comers in Upper West (last track was Ladida), team up with another new player, Skizzy Mars (last track was Douchebag), and actually put together a really catchy track. The hook is sick, the rapping is quick and skilled, and overall, the track is just dope. Check it out below, and watch for more from all of these guys. Enjoy.
First leak from Peanut Butter And Swelly. This is hot. Chiddy goes hard as always, and huge shouts to The Knocks for the dope sample. I'm pumped for this album. Enjoy.
This is a dope little mixtape from 90's Finest. To be honest, I was really surprised to see this pop up in my news feed on facebook, because I didn't even know that these guys were working on a mixtape. The last couple tracks I saw from 90's Finest were a couple remixes that I wasn't a huge fan of, so this mixtape is refreshing. Real hot stuff from these 2 Canadian boys. I'm starting to really like 90's Finest's sound, so be on the watch for more. Check out a few of my favs from the tape below, then cop the whole mixtape.
A new drop from ANOTHER HotLeaks favorite, Sucka Free CJ. Sick as always. Love the jazz horns, and CJ's flow is dope. I feel like I don't even need to hype this one up, because Sucka Free CJ really hasn't put out a track that hasn't been dope. I'll admit, not an amazing video, but it's not bad, kind of a "day in the life of CJ" feel to it. Anyway, Enjoy the track.
I was hit with this joint earlier today. Another dope mixup from the combo of Mother Earth Remixes and Young Church (Last track was Skinny Pain). This time, the guys put together Bobby Moore's 60's track Searching For My Baby, with some Fabulous and Jay Z. Awesome as always. Download link below. Enjoy it.
New track from a HotLeaks favorite, The Dean's List. Really chill track, with an amazingly catchy hook, and some sick vocals from Sonny Shotz. Overall, dope track, my only beef is that it's only 2+ minutes. With such a sick track, 2 minutes just leaves me craving more. Anyway, Enjoy the track.
Huey Mack finally released his highly hyped mixtape, Freshman 15, and it's pretty sick. Just like I thought, Freshman 15 is one huge college anthem. Partying, drinking, smoking, and overall, just having a good time. Don't get me wrong, it's a really solid mixtape, with some chill tracks and some upbeat party tracks. There are also a few wicked colabs that Huey did with guys like Collin McLoughlin and Young Scolla, and even a track produced by Brenton Duvall, so some great tracks are on this mixtape. Check out a couple of my favs below, then download the whole mixtape.
Never Look Back -Huey Mack ft. Collin McLoughlin
You're A Star Pt. 2 - Huey Mack ft. Joe Christo
Closing (Produced by Brenton Duvall) - Huey Mack ft. Alec Kornfield
Saw this posted by a friend on facebook yesterday and I figured I would share it. Swedish House Mafia released a video for their bound to be summer hit, Save the World. I'll admit, the theme is kind of cheesy if you think about it too much, but it's really visually appealing and works well. That may or may not be because I love dogs. Check it out, and the track is below if you don't have it already.
Amazing. This colabo is pretty much a dream come true for me. Rob of Timeflies drops an amazing beat, Cal of Timeflies is sick as always, Loggy spits smooth lines, and Mike Stud kills his verse. This whole track is a shout out to all the grads this year, and i'm pretty sure that it is injected with awesomeness. Anyway, check it out, and I know you will enjoy it.
Sick. I love visuals, and when it's for a track that I dig, I love them even more. Mr. Forbes hit me with these a couple days ago, and I just never got around to posting them. Real simple video, but it really suits the track perfectly. Enjoy it, and watch out for more from Mr. Forbes on HotLeaks.
Dope new MGK. This is a hot track, to go along with his youtube series that he has been releasing over the last couple months, with the same name. The sample is a Young Blood track, The Naked & Famous, and MGK spits fire as always. Honestly, if your not up on Machine Gun Kelly yet, you need to be. Enjoy it, and "Lace Up".
The final leak from Huey Mack's up coming mixtape, Freshman 15. From the sound of this track, plus the other leaks, this tape is going to be one huge anthem for anyone in college. Really catchy track, and Huey's rhymes are dope as always. Enjoy it, and get excited for Freshman 15.
I got sent these tracks yesterday, and I just got around to listening to them today. Both are actually pretty hot. I had never heard of Cato until these, but I guess he has a pretty solid following already (around 1600 fans on facebook). I definitely like what I hear. Cato hails from Minneapolis, and has been performing and writing music since his teen years. The first track, Camera Zoom, is a little bit pop-y, but has a solid upbeat sound, and Cato's flow is sick. The second track, Written In The Stars, Cato goes over Tinie Tempah's beat, and let me say, it's actually pretty dope. Check them out, and be on the watch for more from Cato.
New joint from Mac. On his "Road to a Million Fans", he hit another milestone, 400000 followers on twitter. At this point, any new Mac is good Mac, and by now you should know his name. Enjoy.
A long wait for this, but it was well worth it. Imprint has been hyping this video, for one of his tracks Dancing In The Shadows off his album, The First Impression, for weeks now. This emotion filled track is backed up perfectly by these visuals. I really don't have much to say about this, because to be honest, the visuals and the track speak completely for themselves. Both are great. Enjoy it, and watch for more from MC Imprint. You can grab the track below if you haven't already.
This is actually sick. To be honest, I had never heard of Lew Sid before a friend of mine sent this track my way. From the second I pressed play, I was hooked. After the first play through, I had to listen 3 or 4 more times. The beat is catchy as hell, and his flow is unbelievable. The whole track has this little bit of a haunting feel that pulls you in, and has you wanting more after each line. Anyway, Lew Sid is from Virginia Beach, and has been making music since he was 12 years old. Here's a little bio from Lew Sid:
"I just look to do more than rap and aim to inspire and create visuals when I rhyme. I like to go through stories and events a lot as well it makes music all the more fun. Lived in the hood all my life, had family in friends who lived and still live that life, been to college and actually I still am.I never really fell into the trap of being subjected by surroundings or where I live or anything like that I've always strived to be myself but just being a genuine dude. I try to bring that same genuine feel to music and it's been a good ride thus far."
Dope track from a dope up and comer, so watch out. Enjoy.
Another sick new Tinie track. These last few have really impressed me, and I have become a big fan of his because of his consistency. Bei Maejor jumps on a feature for the hook, and he kills it like always. Overall, a really catchy and enjoyable track, so check it out.
I'm pretty sure Erin Christine is one of my favorite (if not THE favorite) female artist out today. I first saw her when she jumped on XV's track All For Me, off his recent free album Zero Heroes, and have been in love with her sound ever since then. She released a new track a couple days ago, and I figured I should share it with all of you. Enjoy.
Some new, really smooth, really relaxing Collin McLoughlin. Perfect for hump day. I had a long day at work, so this is the perfect track for me to come home, turn up loud, relax, and start the BBQ. I'm pretty sure I love every track the Collin has put out, and this one is no different. Enjoy it.
Hot new mix from a HotLeaks favorite, Big Z Remixes. I really don't know how he does it, but Big Z makes every track an original. Even vocals, that if you ask me, have been over used, he makes sound refreshing and new. This is a perfect follow up to his latest mixtape, Never Change. If you like what you hear, check Big Z out on facebook.
Perfect track for the weekend, even if it is more than a few days away. Just download it now, and save it for Friday night. The White Panda is back at it with this mashup of Britney Spears' track Till The World Ends mixed with Avicii's, Seek Bromance. This track is really addicting, but then again, most White Panda tracks are. Anyway, Enjoy it.
This is pretty sick. C3K sent this my way earlier today, and I was impressed. A lot of raw talent here. First off, Slick The Kid, who I hadn't heard of until this track, just finished his sophomore year at UMD, and actually went to the same high school as a HotLeaks familiar, Kam Royal. Second, C3K, should be a little familiar to you, of AP Bop. Anyway, this track is a little rough around the edges, but the skill of these two guys is undeniable. Enjoy.
A couple of newer players in the game, P-Holla and IanJ, come together for a sick colabo. Right off the bat, I'm a huge fan of the sample, What's My Age Again by Blink 182, so the track had me right from the beginning. Watch out for P-Holla, he's starting to make some serious moves, PLUS IanJ is killing it like always. Enjoy
Pretty dope video. Goone dropped these visuals for Black Out, off his dope mixtape Grapefruit Starship. I seriously want to do everything the bartender does in this video. This video really suits the track perfectly, and has a great feel to it. Anyway, enjoy the video, and if you haven't already, download Grapefruit Starship.
Doug Bogan is back with another dope mashup. This time, he put together a couple of awesome tracks, Save The World by Swedish House Mafia and Flo-Rida's old summer hit, Right Round. I love the sound of this track, it really has summer playlist written all over it. I'm really starting to dig Doug's production, so be on the watch for more from him. Enjoy it, and if you like what you hear, check him out on facebook.
After this track got amazing reviews here on HotLeaks, I figured it would only be appropriate if I hit you with Josh Bonney's visuals for his amazing track, Gimme The Beat. Josh's people hit me with this earlier today, and to be honest, I feel like the video suits the track perfectly. It just feels right. I have become a huge fan of Josh's work, so be on the watch for more from him. Anyway, watch it and enjoy, and if you havent already, grab the track below.
This is hot. New track from Kinetics & One Love, and the guys absolutely kill it. To me, it feels a little like something off their tape, Fading Back To Normal, which is dope. Plus, the hook from Missy Modell (who was recently on a track with Mike Stud, and seems to be making a big name for herself) is amazing. Plus the lyrics will make you want to change the world. This one is a must download for anyone. Enjoy it, because I know I did.
I have for you, a couple new things from a HotLeaks favorite, Olu. First up is a new track, that Olu made yesterday, so he appropriately named it May 14th. His flow is tight as always, the beat is sick, and to be honest, this track kind of reminds me of Apple Juice Break, off his mixtape P3. Peep it below.
Just the track:
Plus another treat for you. Olu also hits us with visuals for his track Beautiful Darkness. This video is absolutely gorgeous. It's simple and artistic, and honestly, fits the song perfectly, so huge shoutout to the direction of Moments in Motion. Enjoy the video below.
New joint from Miracle, the Australian artist who dropped the awesome mixtape, Before We Meet, a couple months ago. This time, he grabs Jessica Mauboy for the hook, and let me tell you, this is hot track. Miracle's flow is sick, as always, and I really don't know why he doesn't get more exposure than he gets over here in North America. Anyway, this is a wicked track, so enjoy.
The boys from Gate City Squad are back with another sick track. If you haven't heard of them yet, (you really should have), check out intro page + interview I did with these guys. This new track is a little bit of a switch from what we have heard from GCS in the past, but it really shows how diverse, as artists, these guys can be. With a sick opening of a clip from Remember The Titans, a sweet guitar riff in the back beat, smooth flow, and catchy hook, they really have a solid track. This one is a must DL, so Enjoy
I got sent this track a few days ago, and just got around to listening to it now, and I am impressed. June hails from Memphis TN, and is a fresh face to the game. His sound is really cool, and I'm already looking forward to what he puts out in the future. He plans on releasing his debut album, Pursuit Of Music, sometime in, you guessed it, June, so I'm pumped to hear that. If it sounds anything like this track, I'll be impressed. Enjoy, and watch out for more from June.
Huge summer hit for sure. Been a long while since I have heard anything with Travie McCoy, but with a catchy track from IYAZ, your guaranteed a hit. Enjoy.
Halifax swag! Holding it down for my hometown. SonReal posted this video earlier today, and I jumped on it right away. This track is tough as hell. Kayo spits absolute fire, Quake's flow is insane, and SonReal holds his own and kills it like always. This one is a real east meets west thing, and it's dope. This track made me go DL The Search, Quake & Kayo's sick mixtape. If a single track can make me download a whole mixtape, that says something about how ill the track is. ANYWAY, enjoy the visuals above, cop the track below, and then download The Search.
I'll start off by saying, this isn't the type of track I usually post, so don't judge me. Riley hit me with this one, and my first thought was "what the hell? are you serious", but then since I'm a huge Riley fan, I needed to give it a listen. You know what? It's not horrible. I dig Riley's verse at the beginning, and I'll admit, it's catchy. Check it out.
This is INSANE. Spotted this over on GMAD, and then right after I saw it there, someone sent me a link and told me to check out a new mash track. Honestly, this track is wicked. A must DL, so huge shout out to NotSomeKid.
Hot, new, high energy track from New Boyz featuring Bei Maejor. Honestly, with this pairing, you wouldn't expect anything less than a party track. I'm really digging the tracks Bei Maejor's been putting up lately, and his sound is really growing on me. Enjoy.
New Theophilus London. It's been a while since I have posted any Theophilus, and honestly, I couldn't really tell you why that is, but ANYWAY. Here's a new track for you, a real quick pace on it, but still pretty catchy. Enjoy.
Erik Paul is back with another dope track. His flow is on point like always, but I wouldn't expect anything less. This is a leak off his upcoming mixtape, The EPidemic, which I think is going to be sick. The production on this track is pretty mint, so shout out to J Farell for that.
** Just in. Off My Chest is NOT going to be on The Epidemic. Dope track regardless, and I still think The Epidemic will be sick**
The newest drop from Zac's upcoming mixtape, Mr. W. From the sound of this track (plus the sound of his other releases, Just Believe and The Movement), this mixtape is going to be really good. His tracks are always really well put together, his flow is sick, and they are always catchy. Watch out for Zac White. Enjoy.
Luke Christopher is back. After his last few tracks (Rooftops, The Social Network/By This River) got rave reviews here on HotLeaks, Luke is back with another great song. This high school senior is really killing it, so watch out. Enjoy.
Perfect! Another HotLeaks milestone, headed by non other than the great, J. Cole. For HotLeaks 500th post (Yes, thats right, 500 posts. Shit is crazy!), I'll hit your with some great new J. Cole. After his last track, Disgusting, I was a little disappointed in Cole. It was so bad, that I didn't even bother posting it. This new joint is a COMPLETE redemption. Really smooth sounding, and his lyricism never ceases to amaze me. Enjoy it. 500 posts deep, and no plans on stopping.
Another new leak from Tech N9ne. His album, Tech's All 6's and 7's, coming out June 7th, is going to be insane. I've been a huge fan of Tech for years, ever since I heard The Beast on Madden '06. After I heard that, I went and downloaded all the Tech N9ne I could find and I have been a Tech fan ever since then. That being said, I really dig any new tracks from this underground giant. Enjoy.
