Like Water (Video) - Pro Era

This joint has been on constant rotation on my iPod since its release back in December, so when I saw that they had finally put together a video for it, I was all over it. It's a great homage to the late Capital STEEZ from Pro Era, so definitely check this one out.

Find You (Clark Kent Remix) - Skrux & Felxprod ft. Complexion

This latest remix from Clark Kent is probably one of my favorite "dubstep" tracks that I think I've ever heard. He puts his own chillstep twist on this one, and I can guarantee you will find yourself listening to it over and over again. Don't sleep on it.

Origami - Chester Watson

Here's yet another haunting track from the kid known as Chester Watson. First we were hit with Phantom, then his joint Shapeshifter, and now this. I can officially say now that I'm a fan of his twisted sound. There's just something about it that's oddly intriguing and has you wanting more. Check it out.

March - Hendersin

It's been a while since we've heard from him but here's a "new" track from Hendersin. Now it's not really new, because it's actually an unreleased cut from his tape I.F.L.Y., which was released back in '11. He actually released this great track to hold over the fans since he had to push back the release date of his highly anticipated new mixtape, Henny In Ya System. Enjoy this one.

Niggaz Know - J. Cole

June 18th is going to be absolutely unreal. Cole's Born Sinner, Mac's Watching Movies With the Sound Off and Ye's Yeezus. You can't tell me that you're not excited for that. Anyway, here's the latest single from Born Sinner, and once again, it's just dripping with that soulful sound we've gotten used to hearing from Cole lately. Enjoy this one.

Objects In The Mirror (Video) - Mac Miller

Alright then. So it looks like Watching Movies With the Sound Off is actually going to be pretty sick. This drop from Mac is originally produced by Pharrell (and possibly was going to be their delayed project Pink Slime), but for this version, he grabs The Internet instead. This track actually doesn't have Mac rapping at all, and is just purely him singing, and it turned out amazing. Seriously, check this one out.

Word Is Bond - Joey Bada$$

Here's another great track that I missed out on when it first was released. Joey Bada$$ decided to drop the first single off his upcoming project, Summer Knights, which is out June 12th. It's got a wicked old school vibe that just pulls you in, and then Joey does his thing as always. Summer Knights is going to be sick.

Alive (Acoustic) - Krewella

Wow. This is amazing. Yesterday Krewella decided to put together an acoustic version of their hit track Alive, and I can honestly say that I've been listening to it non stop all day. Do yourself a favor and check this one out.

Over Dinner - Kings Dead

On the last couple tracks from The Kings Dead, I've made the statement that their sound has been drifting back towards their older Deans List vibe. With this latest one, Over Dinner, Kings Dead has managed to blend their older Deans List sound with their newer, more experimental Kings Dead sound, and create a track that is truly fantastic. I was excited for their upcoming project, Revenge Of The Beast before, but now I just can't wait. Not one to sleep on. Enjoy.

Download

Tessellate (Alt-J Cover) - Ellie Goulding

Start your night off right. My girl Ellie decided to jump in and give her own spin on Alt-J's Tessellate, and as you would probably expect, it's fantastic. It actually reminds me a bit of her cover of High For This. Maybe it's because Xaphoon Jones has decided to lend his production skills to this one as well. Check it out below.

Respect Ya Passion - Nipsey Hussle

Nipsey Hussle proving yet again why he's one to listen to. A smooth beat with some great retrospective lyrics. From the looks of it, Nipsey plans on releasing a new track every time he gets another 20,000 followers on twitter, so if you want more great tracks like this one (because I sure do), check him out. Enjoy this one.

Heart Attack - Archie ft. Crywolf

Here it is. The collab everyone has been waiting for. Archie & Crywolf have teamed up for what turned out to be an absolutely spectacular track. Heart Attack is the kind of track that just gets you going, and I can see it becoming a staple in my summer playlist. Don't sleep on this one.

Kids Throw Rocks (Video) - Raz Simone

I feel like Raz Simone is the kind of guy you could just sit down with, have a few beers, and just shoot the shit with for hours. I don't mean that to sound weird, it's just that he's got an unreal story telling ability. But that's beside the point. Here's his latest set of visuals for one of my favorite tracks off his debut solo project, Solomon Samuel Simone. A simple video, but it manages to really showcase Raz's fantastic lyrics. Check it out, and if you haven't yet, you need to go cop his EP. Enjoy.

Hell Of A Night - ScHoolboy Q

This joint premiered during the NBA finals a couple days ago, but now that I've given it full a listen, I can officially say that I'm a fan of it. Although it's a great track, you can't deny the fact that it is probably one of ScHoolboy Q's more radio friendly joints. Anyway, check it out below.

I.D.G.A.F. - Mike Posner ft. Pharrell

Not to be confused with Luda's new mixtape, Mike Posner and Pharrell decided to hook up for a brand new collab track called I.D.G.A.F. It's got a real JT feel to it, but if you ask me, there's nothing wrong with that. Check it out below.

War Room - Styles P ft. Chris Rivers & Vinne Paz

This is dope right here. Styles P has managed to find a balance between the old school, heavy hitting hip hop and the newer, more twisted quick flow hip hop (like Flatbush Zombies and Pro Era). Plus it features a verse from Big Pun's son (in case you couldn't tell from the album art). Check this one out for sure.

Julian (The Chainsmokers Remix) - Say Lou Lou

Alright. I'm officially a big fan of The Chainsmokers. The last track I heard from them was their remix of Little Daylight's Overdose back in March, and I can honestly say that it has been in constant rotation on my iPod since then. This time they take Say Lou Lou's Julian, and twist it in such a way that it becomes a gorgeous progressive/dance track that you just want turn up loud and lose yourself in. Don't sleep on this one, and be on the lookout for more from The Chainsmokers.

#IDGAF (Mixtape) - Ludacris

Best project from Luda in years, hands down. In my opinion, he hasn't spit this good since How Low. Plus with features from guys like Young Jeezy, Meek Mill, Mac Miller, French Montana, Chris Brown, Swizz Beatz and Pusha T, you really can't go wrong. No point in me trying to hype this one up anymore though, so check it below.

Medicine Time - Kasum

Kasum has been on fire since his return. First he hit us with the great mash Catch Me Alive back in march, and then a few weeks after that, he put together the perfect pre-game track Cold Stars. Here it is just over a month later, and Kasum has decided to create an unbelievably smooth mash that you really can't help but enjoy. It combines Medicine from Daughter, both the original AND The ChainSmokers remix, with It's Time from Imagine Dragons. Seriously, he just keep better and better with each new track, so even though this is a fantastic track, I'm excited to hear where he goes. Anyway, check it out below.

Double Excel (Video) - ANTHM

One of the best (and notoriously under-rated) artists in the game right now, ANTHM, has decided to give his track Double Excel a fresh set of visuals to go with it. A funny little scene to start of the video, but then, to be honest with you, it gets pretty simple. But I'm not REALLY sharing this for the video, but instead I wanted another reason to share this track with you, because it really is fantastic. Enjoy the video, then check out the track (if you haven't already) below.

Peso - MGK ft. Pusha T & Meek Mill

After teasing this one what seems like forever ago (back in January), MGK has finally released this fantastic collab project with Pusha T & Meek Mill. It's the latest single off his upcoming tape, Black Flag, which from the sounds of this one, is going to be sick. Check it out below and enjoy.

U.O.E.N.O (Remix) - Black Hippy

Sick new remix from Black Hippy (Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, and Schoolboy Q for those of you who didn't know). These guys sound so much more comfortable on this beat in comparison to Rocko, Rozay and Future. Check it out below.

All I Need - Pretty Boy Cuv

Now this is raw potential right here. This kid, Pretty Boy Cuv, hails from my home town, and he's actually only been rapping for about a year or so. Now I know what you're thinking, but he's actually got a ton of raw talent, so it makes up for the fact that he's so fresh to the game. He's got the one-liner delivery of Mike Stud, and the multi-level rhyme schemes of Gambino. Definitely look out for this kid, because I can hear something big in him.

Body So Tight - DJ Reflex ft. Childish Gambino

Bino is back. After a little hiatus, Mr. Glover has decided to come back with a bang. Now this isn't exactly what you might be used to hearing from him, as it's much more clubby than his previous stuff, but it actually sounds sick. Gambino's flow works really well with this 808 heavy beat, so check it out for sure.

Animal Pharm - Lupe Fiasco

As you could have probably guessed from the title, Lupe puts a modern spin on the themes from the book that I'm pretty sure everyone read at some point in their schooling, George Orwell's Animal Farm. From what I gather, this could possibly be a drop off Lupe's upcoming project, Tetsuo & Youth, but even if it's not, this track has definitely gotten me hungry for more. Check it out.

Fireman - Kat Dahlia

I am officially becoming a big fan of Kat Dahlia. The best way for me to describe her sound is Rihanna, mixed with a bit of Roman AKA Nicki Minaj, plus something that I just can't quite put my finger on. But whatever it is, it's great. Fireman is her latest track, and it's one you definitely don't want to miss out one. Enjoy.

Pocket Full Of Dreams - YONAS

A treat for your Tuesday night. Here's the second drop off YONAS' upcoming project, The Transition 2: Bright Lights, Big City, and although (in my opinion) it's not as good as his previous track Feel The Love, it's still got a great sound that you will definitely enjoy. Check this one out, and be on the lookout for The Transition 2, coming June 25th.

Through My Head - B.o.B.

An awesome movie video for an awesome song. This is the first single off B.o.B.'s newly announced upcoming album, Underground Luxury, so get excited that. Enjoy this one.

We Outchea - PropaneLv

Lv is back at it, and he shows us yet again he's one to be reckoned with. Over his last few tracks, he's been singing a fair amount and showing us he isn't JUST a good rapper, but instead an all around great artist. But for this one, he's decided to just spit, and he absolutely kills it. Enjoy this one.

LoveHate Thing - Wale

One word: soulful. That would be the best way to describe Wale's latest single. I really hope that this track is indicative of what his entire upcoming album, The Gifted, is going to sound like, because I am a huge fan of this side of Wale. Check it out below.

Sexy Girls Round Here - DJ 21azy

A perfect track to start off your week. The always fantastic DJ 21azy takes the catchy county beat from Blake Shelton's Boys Round Here, and blend it perfectly with the vocals from a track that I completely forgot about, but was my jam back in the day, Sexy Can I from Ray J. Don't sleep on this one.

Pushing Keyes (Mixtape) - M.i x Tyler Keyes

The wait is over. After countless releases over the last couple months (actually about 4, but shh) , we are finally blessed with the full project, Pushing Keyes, from Tyler Keyes & M.i, and I can officially say that it has exceeded all of my expectations. Not that they were small, because I actually expected this to be fantastic tape, but it turned out to be absolutely unreal. Every single track is spectacular, and I know I say this about a lot of mixtapes, but I really can't find a single track that is not enjoyable. First off, the production from Tyler is just perfect, and then the way that M.i spits is truly unparalleled. This project should get these guys the attention that they deserve. I couldn't pick out any favorite tracks, so I included a DatPiff stream of all the tracks for you to check out. After you do that, do yourself a favor and download this project. Enjoy.

IDGAF - Ludacris

Bangladesh jumps in and produces a banger for Ludacris' latest addition to his #IDGAFFridays series. The beat is really reminiscent of What's Your Fantasy, so if you want to feel a little nostalgia, check this one out for sure. Enjoy.

FaZe Clan - D-Why

To be completely honest with you, I'm still on the fence with D-Why. I'm not sure what it is, but I really just can't make up my mind on whether or not I like his sound. Anyway, FaZe Clan is the newest track off his upcoming EP, Young, Loved, Hated & Broke, and it's actually pushing me more towards becoming a fan, so definitely check it out above. Enjoy.

PRAY (Mixtape) - Gilbere Forte

And here it is. The third official project from Gilbere Forte, PRAY, and it is every bit as dope as I had hoped. Over the last year and a half, Gilbere has been working hard on this one, and you can really tell that when you listen to it because each track is filled a ton of thought and emotion. I really don't want to try and talk this one up anymore, because I know it can speak for itself, so check it out below. Enjoy.

Gifted - French Montana ft. The Weeknd

Here's the latest single off French Montana's upcoming album Excuse My French. If you ask me though, this track is absolutely dominated by The Weeknd's haunting vocals, and French Montana is the one who seems to take the back seat as a feature. Anyway, check it out below.

Hide - Jez Dior

Scarlett Sage, Jez Dior's upcoming debut album is going to be fantastic. With his first two singles, Candles and Love Me To Death, as well as this latest track, Jez has an built an unreal groundwork for it. And since this is only his third release, he's clearly an artist who lives by one of my favorite phrases: "quality over quantity". Be on the lookout for Scarlett Sage (which hopefully drops soon), and enjoy this one.

Make It Home - Hoodie Allen ft. Kina Grannis

This song is just plain fantastic. A couple weeks ago, Hoodie Allen and Kina Grannis premiered this joint live on FUSE, and from the second I pressed play, I was hooked. There's just something magical about the way that Kina's vocals work with Hoodie's fantastic flow. That being said, I started to wait anxiously for Hoodie to release the full studio version, and now the day has arrived. Do yourself a favor and check this one out.

ANIGMA - Gilbere Forte

With PRAY dropping tomorrow, I really had to question whether or not I wanted to share this new leak from Gilbere Forte. Clearly you can tell from this post that I figured "Hey, why the hell not?". Anyway, check it out below, and lookout for PRAY tomorrow.

Life Long (Video) - Rockie Fresh ft. Rick Ross & Nipsey Hussle

I'll be straight with you on this: there's honestly nothing special about this video. I'm just using it as an excuse to listen to Life Long again, and bring attention to the fact that Rockie's tape Electric Highway is still sick. Enjoy.

I Am Not Lobster OK (Mixtape) - Marc Goone

The wait is finally over. Since first hearing Marc Goone's track Yung Khaleesi back in October, I can honestly say that I've been anxiously waiting for him to release a new project, and here it is. Now I said it back when Yung Khaleesi dropped, but I'll say it again: If you've been a fan of Marc Goone for as long as I've been, you can truly hear the growth in his sound. Over the years (yes, it's been over 2 years since I first heard his tracks), Marc has really redefined himself, and has come a long way since Blackout. Don't get me wrong, it's always great to look back and see where you've come from, but you also have to look at where you're at now, and then where you want to be. Marc Goone has developed his catchy rhymes into meaningful and smart lyrics, and then has matured his flow into raging river, all while maintaining that originality that makes him a truly great artist. I Am Not A Lobster OK is a compilation of all the tracks he's released since Yung Khaleesi, so 10 gems in total. But anyway, I'll let you check out the tape below. It is available for free, but if you want to help a brother out, you should definitely cop it on iTunes (plus you get 2 bonus tracks). Enjoy.

Friday, May 10, 2013

LA Story - Sammy Adams ft. Mike Posner

Prepare yourself for yet another perfect track to add to your summer playlist. Sammy Adams grabs Mike Posner, and together they have created a fantastic feel good track that you just can't help but enjoy. Plus it has a cool video to go along with it. Enjoy.

Heavy Hitters (Big Z Remix) - Kanye West ft. GLC

It's been a while since I've posted any new ish from Big Z, but here's his latest, a remix of Ye and GLC's track Heavy Hitters. Now I enjoyed the original version of this track, but to be honest, it always felt like it was missing something. Big Z manages to add that something. He's created a fantastic beat that works just perfectly with the vocals. A fantastic track, so enjoy it.

House Gang - Slaughterhouse

A CDQ release of Slaughterhouse's track off Flex's mixtape. As you all probably know by now, I'm a huge fan of Royce Da 5'9", Joell Ortiz, Crooked I and Joe Budden all on their own, so whenever they hook up as Slaughterhouse, I'm all over it. Don't miss out on this one.

Be Still (Video) - ANTHM

A simple but effective video from ANTHM for his gem of a track, Be Still, off his EP, Joy & Pain. I'll say it again that I still think ANTHM is extremely underrated. With his fantastic lyrical ability and flow, I believe that he should get a lot more attention than what he gets now. But, like I said, I say that every single time I post one of his tracks, so I'm just going to let this gorgeous track speak for itself. Check it out, and if you don't have it, go cop Joy & Pain.

G.D.O.D. (Mixtape) - Hustle Gang

To be honest with you, I really didn't think too much of this tape when I first saw it. I gave it a download on a whim and let me tell you, it is dope. New tracks from T.I, Trae The Truth, B.o.B, Young Dro, CHIP, Iggy Azalea, & Travi$ Scott just to name a few. This tape is absolutely filled with hood bangers that make you just wanna turn your speakers up, roll the windows down, and drive real slow. Don't sleep on this one.

Wednesday, May 8, 2013

Nolita - Gilbere Forte ft. Active Child

This is fantastic. Gilbere Forte has decided to release his second single off his upcoming project, Pray (the first being the title track back in October), and it is one hell of a track. Its haunting beat, enchanting hook, and the unbelievably smooth flow from Gilbere is a hard combination to beat. Check this one out for sure, and be on the lookout for Pray, dropping May 15.

I Need Your Love (Timeflies Tuesday) - Timeflies

It's been a while since we've been blessed with a new Timeflies Tuesday. The guys have been pretty much on a country wide tour, doing shows and PR stuff, but they finally got the chance to put together a new Tuesday treat, and it is fantastic (but would you expect anything less?). Rez takes my girl Ellie's Need Your Love, and gives it a whole new unreal spin for Cal to absolutely rip up. Don't sleep on this one.

Tuesday, May 7, 2013

Meshuganah (Video) - Marc Goone

Marc Goone. A true man of his word. Back in April, he said that if he reached 2000 followers on twitter that day, he would get a tattoo of a telletubby on his ass. Well he reached that goal in a few hours, and not to be called a liar, on May 1st, he got a tattoo of a purple telletubby eating a lobster dinner, on his ass. The video above features the spectacular tat in all its glory. Oh, and it also has a fantastic track to go with it. Meshuganah (which I'm still not 100% sure how to say) is yet another sick Zuckswithit produced cut off his upcoming project, I Am Not A Lobster OK, which is dropping in exactly 1 week, on May 14th. I can't tell you how excited I am for this one, so definitely be on the lookout for it. Enjoy.

The Daily Gamble - Terence Ryan

Still hot after releasing his project See About A Dream back in March, Terence Ryan is right back at it, and has now released the first single off his new upcoming LP, The Revival. Smooth as always, so don't miss out.

Welcome To Forever (Mixtape) - Logic

Now here's a treat to brighten your Tuesday night. Logic has finally released his 4th project, Welcome To Forever, and it is not one you will want to miss out one. Now I know I seem to say this about every single one of Logic's mixtapes, but in all honesty, there is not a single track on this one that isn't amazing. Logic hasn't let the fact that he's now officially a signed artist change who he is at all, which is fantastic. But, I'm going to stop trying to hype this one up, and I'm just going to let the tape do the talking. Enjoy.

We Were Just Kids (Video) - Radical Something

Alright, it is officially summer now. Exams, for me have been done now for a couple weeks (but some of you are still writing, so I won't rub that in too much), and the weather has been absolutely gorgeous lately. I even got my first sunburn a couple days ago. But that all being said, it's not officially summer until Radical Something releases some new stuff, so I am now happy to present you with the beginning of summer. Enjoy this one.

Slow Motion - Blackbear

Who doesn't love some Third Eye Blind? Blackbear decided to put together his own spin on their classic track, Slow Motion, and it turned out fantastic. Check it out below.

Monday, May 6, 2013

Pay For You (Video) - Skizzy Mars ft. G-Eazy

Still hot of his debut project Phases, Skizzy Mars has decided to release his first ever set of visuals, and has chosen to do so for his amazing track with G-Eazy, Pay For You. A fantastic video using some gorgeous shots from a show on G-Eazy's Must Be Nice tour. Check it out, and if you haven't yet, you need to go cop Phases now.

Feel The Love - YONAS

You really can't go wrong with new YONAS. Feel The Love is the first leak off his upcoming 5th project, The Transition 2, which is going to be released some time this summer. After hearing this, and knowing how great YONAS is in general, I'm extremely pumped to hear more, so be on the lookout for that. Enjoy.

Just Listen - Riley

It's been a long while since we've heard from Riley (his last track I posted was Curbstomp, which dropped in June of last year), so that being said, I feel like you should all be re-acquainted him. Back in January of last year, I was given the opportunity to ask Riley a few questions, and after getting his responses, I put together a formal introduction to this fantastic artist (which you can check out HERE), so you should all definitely check that out. Anyway, back to the new track. After listening to this gem, it's clear that Riley's sound has grown and matured a bit since his hiatus started, but he's also managed to maintain that signature flow that got me hooked when I first started listening to him. Definitely a fan of this one, so don't miss out. And hopefully we'll hear more from Riley soon. Enjoy.

Summertime Sadness - A-1

I would now like to introduce you to A-1, a fantastic new comer out of the Bay Area. Summertime Sadness is a unbelievably sharp perspective on the violence that often comes hand-in-hand with summertime. He takes the already heavy Ryan Hemsworth remix of Lana Del Ray, and adds a whole new layer to it. This is an absolutely haunting track that you need to check out.

Hands In The Air - Inside Our Universe

It's been almost a year since I've posted anything from I.O.U, but these two guys have definitely been on their grind over that time. Hands In The Air uses a fantastic sample of Rihanna's Stay, and it's probably actually one of the better tracks that I think I've heard from I.O.U. Enjoy this one.

Big Ships - e-dubble

Happy First Friday! The last month has been a long one, filled with papers, assignments, and finals, and now that it's finally over, I can just sit back, relax, and jam to some new e-dubble. This is probably one of my favorites that e-dub has put together over the last few months, which is really saying something, because he's been fantastic over that time. Check it out below.

Beyond A Reasonable Doubt - Joey Bada$$ ft. Action Bronson

Here's another cut off DJ Drama's XXL Freshman Class 2013 mixtape, and this time it's from Joey Bada$$ and Action Bronson. I'll admit, it has kind of an odd/off putting hook, but the flow from both these guys is sick. Check it out.

Thursday, May 2, 2013

2AM - Phil Ade ft. Bun B

Still hot off Rockie Fresh's Electric Highway tour, Phil Ade decided to drop the first single off his upcoming project, R.O.S.E. (Result Of Society’s Evils), and I can honestly say that this is one hell of a way to start a tape. In case you couldn't tell, he managed to grab the trillest hip-hop artist out of Houston, Bun B, for a feature on this one, and their flows actually sounds dope together. Definitely don't sleep on this one.

She Like - ScHoolboy Q

DJ Drama dropped a new mixtape yesterday with all new tracks from the XXL Freshman Class of 2013. This joint from ScHoolboy Q was one of 17 new tracks on the tape, but since it's dope, I figured I would share it with you on its own. Enjoy.

Rocket Ships - Talib Kweli ft. Busta Rhymes

Talib Kweli decided to leak one of the most highly anticipated tracks off his upcoming project, Prisoner of Conscious, which drops on Tuesday. The production from RZA is fantastic, Busta's verse is on point, and Talib does his thing. Check it out.

Talking To You - Tim Gunter ft. Roland Clark & The Montanas

The always great Tim Gunter has decided to take some vocal samples from "Music Talking" by Roland Clark & The Montanas, blend them with a fantastic new beat, and create the perfect track to get your summer started. I can honestly say that the second I pressed play on this one, it went right on my workout playlist, and then my run out in the sun later that day became 100 times better. Don't miss out on this one.

Wednesday, May 1, 2013

Write It Down - M.i ft. OnCue

Yet another amazing cut off Pushing Keyes, the upcoming collab tape from M.i & Tyler Keyes. They've already released some fantastic cuts off the tape (Imminent, Church West Texas ft. Blu & Nothing You Can Do ft. Corbett & Chamillionaire), and I really didn't think I could get any more excited for it. But after hearing this one, I can honestly say that I AM even more excited fro Pushing Keyes to drop on the 16th. Until then, enjoy this one (and the others).

25 Bills (Video) - Marc Goone

You wanna hear a great, real track from a real artist? Marc Goone is here to give you just that. 25 Bills is yet another fantastic track all about how Goone keeps it honest yet people still judge him, as well as the idea of selling out. Plus this is one of the most well done videos that I think I've seen from him, so this is not a track to sleep on. Be on the look out for his upcoming tape, I Am Not A Lobster OK!, coming May 14th. Enjoy.
