Skinny Pain - Mother Earth Remixes & Young Church

Oh Yeah. It's been a little while, but finals are officially over for me, so now I can dedicate all my time to music, so I'm excited. What a way to start off my new found freedom with this new Mother Earth Remixes track. He hits us with a colabo with another artist, Young Church, are creates magic once again. I am pretty sure I love every single track Mother Earth Remixes touches. This one is a mix of Birdy and 2Pac, and it flows like water. I sounds almost like this was the way the track was supposed to be. Enjoy.

Lock Down - Ya Boy ft. Akon

This song sounds exactly what you would expect it to sound like. Back in the day, I used to kill any track by Ya Boy, then eventually I just kind of forgot about him. Ya Boy, who is now a member of Konvict Music, spits good as always, and Akon is in his element as a hook man. Check it out.

Tragedy - Olu ft. Nicki Minaj

Tough. That's all I have to say about this track. Short, but Olu kills it. Enjoy.

People Under The Stairs - Mac Miller

New Mac track. He released this one as a celebration for his 300,000th follower on twitter. Not a long track, but enjoyable. Check it out.

Speakers Going Hammer (Freestyle) - Moufy

This is tough as hell. Moufy hits us with a new freestyle. This kid has some serious skill, and is extremely under rated if you ask me. Check this one out, and watch out for more from Moufy.

Book Report - Dylan Owen

Another fresh face to the game. I got hit with this track last night, and after my first listen, I was hooked. Dylan is a 19 year old artist out of Ithica, NY, has been making a name for himself lately. He has been doing music since Jr. High, and has actually performed with the like of Shwayze, Chiddy Bang, Mac Miller and even Sam Adams. I have no idea how I slept on this kid. Now a freshman at Cornell, Dylan is starting to make waves, so watch out for more from him. This track is one that really tells a story with emotion, which I think is dope. If you like what you hear, hit Dylan on Facbook. Check it out, and Enjoy.

What The Hell (Remix) - Trey Palms

New Trey Palms. He does the same sort of thing that he did with the Whip My Hair Freestyle, where he uses the beat from the original track, and spits over it. This time he uses Avril's hook, and it makes the track quite enjoyable. I still think Trey Palms is extremely underrated , and I think he deserves a hell of a lot more blogging attention than he gets. I'm also a little upset that he didn't send this track my way, but I understand. I don't hold grudges, so check out this sick new track. Enjoy.

Introducing: Gate City Squad

If you have been to the site before, you already know about the boys in Gate City Squad. Their latest track with Mike Stud has been making huge waves online, and they have no plans of stopping anytime soon. I originally heard of these guys after I listened to a track by MattyFee, with a huge feature from Collin McLoughlin, called My Everything. Everyone I showed the track to loved it, and when it was playing on HotLeaks Live, I got a huge spike in listeners, so clearly it was an amazing track. After that, I started following MattyFee on twitter and facebook, which eventually that led to listening to tracks by Gate City Squad. The whole crew consists of 4 college guys from Nashua, NH. Matt and Dan are brothers, and Josh is their cousin. Finally, John, who is a close friend to all the other guys, is the final member of GCS. I'll admit, I'm just a humble blogger, but these guys have some serious potential here, and I could see them start to blow up. Knowing that, I figured I should grab an interview from these guys, before they are too big time. Check it out below, and watch out for more GCS in the future.

HotLeaks - Who started Gate City Squad, and how did you guys come together?

Josh - "Matt took after our uncle and began making music when he was very young. He took up rap and made a bunch of songs with Syntax beats. I jumped on the scene when I was twelve and together we started working pretty consistently. Shortly after that, Dano started getting on the tracks and we kind of subconsciously created a group. Our uncle later deemed us as the "Gate City Squad", and the name stuck. Matt was always the pushing force behind GCS and can be credited with starting the group. John jumped on board this year because of his song-writing ability, creative talents, and great attitude. He makes everything that much easier for the entire group with his laid back personality and willingness to put out good music."

Zero Heroes (Mixtape) - XV

It's here. Zero Heroes, XV's highly anticipated mixtape. This mixtape is actually so unbelievably dope. I have said it before, and I'll say it again, Vizzy can do no wrong. If you haven't listened to anything that XV has put together up until this point, here is your opportunity. His rapping is so smooth, filled with heart, and really enjoyable to listen to. Plus, he's got a voice that is powerful and sets him apart from the other guys in the game right now. Now, enough gushing over XV from me, so just check out the album. It was really hard to pick favorites, but here is a couple.

Cali (Video) - Bugus

Bugus hits us with visuals for, if you ask me, one of his best tracks off his older mixtape, 18. If you have been to the sight before, you know i'm a huge sucker for videos, and this one is no exception. This one is really well shot, and makes me want summer even more. Check it out, and if you haven't already, download Coming For The Throne. Enjoy. Cali (Video) - Bugus

Hide & Seek - DJ Scoops ft. Coastconnect

Now this isn't the type of music I usually post, but I figured why not. This is a little bit of a techno banger. As I sit here, studying for my last two finals, this track is perfect. DJ Scoops sent me this track a few days ago. I hadn't heard of him before then, but I guess he's done some shows with some pretty big name guys. Guys like Chris Webby, Aziz, Mike Cantrell, Doug Bogan, Greg Golterman, Kinetics and One Love, Cam Meekins, Tim Gallo, DEV and he is also opening for Kap Slap and 5 and a Dime in NYC @ Rebel June 16th. This track is perfect to just sit back an chill out too. Check it out, then if you like what DJ Scoops does, check him out on facebook. Enjoy

Summer Lights (Mixtape) - IanJ

Awesome. IanJ released his mixtape Summer Lights a few hours ago, and let me tell you, it is wicked. After his release of a mini-mixtape, likianj, people here on Hot Leaks went crazy for his leak off Summer Lights, Shes Perfect. There is something really upbeat about IanJ's flow, that just makes it extremely enjoyable to listen to. Every track on this mixtape is catchy as hell, and will have you bobbing your head. IanJ is really making a name for himself, and is someone you should definitely be on the watch out for. This one is a must check out. Enjoy.

Hot new mix from a Hot Leaks favorite, Mother Earth Remixes. He twists together Rollin' In The Deep by Adele, with the Mike Posner remix, with some classic B.I.G, Going Back To Cali, and it sounds amazing. A must DL. Enjoy.

Blessed Base - Mochi Beats

Awesome new mix from Mochi Beats. He slices up Avicii, Big Boi and my girl, Nicki Minaj. I am always extremely impressed by the quality of tracks that Mochi Beats produces, and this one is no exception. Put this one on your party playlist for this weekend for sure. Enjoy.
