Another One Down - Asher Roth ft. D.A. Wallach

Great new track from the true pioneer of the college rap. Asher Roth has definitely tried to move away from the college rap scene, and has actually succeeded in making his mark in the hip hop community, but this track is a real throwback to his "I Love College" days. Really smooth, but an upbeat feel to it as well. Perfect track to prepare for a Friday night. Enjoy it.

Merp Nation (Mixtape) - New Linen

This tape exceeded all my expectations. It's not even that I had low expectations, because honestly, they were already pretty high, purely because every track that New Linen leaked was so good. I expected that Merp Nation would be good, but in the back of my mind, I was worried that they had released all their good tracks. I'm SO glad that I was wrong. Overall, Merp Nation is a consistently good mixtape, because I'm really having a hard time finding a track that I DON'T like. If you have slept on these guys up to this point, wake up, and check them out. Here are a couple of my favs. Check them out, then go download the whole tape. Enjoy.

Hard White (Up In The Club) - Yelawolf ft. Lil Jon

So sick. This one leaked a little while ago, but I figured I would wait until the CDQ dropped, so here it is. So tough, but really, would you expect anything less from Yelawolf and Lil Jon? The last couple tracks from Yela, I wasn't a huge fan of, but I'm really feeling this one. Check it out.

Lose Yourself (Video) - Taylor Swift

I'm at a loss for words. In case you didn't know, country is a huge guilty pleasure of mine, so I may or may not love me a little Taylor Swift every now and then. When a friend of mine posted this on facebook, I was blown away. Sweet little Taylor, gives an acoustic cover of Lose Yourself by Eminem.... wow. She also does another little cover, but I really don't care about that. Just check it out.

Smoke (Video) - Julius Myth

Julius Myth is back with a dope track (HA! see what I did there?). This one is his first single off his upcoming mixtape, Day of the Deadbeats, which is set to drop on August 16th. Seriously, if you don't know Myth's name yet, you should, because he's really been flying under the radar for a lot of people, and he's about to take off. I think this new mixtape is really going to put him on the map, so get familiar. Enjoy. No DL link yet, and we might have to wait until Day of the Deadbeats drops.

Stunner - Timeflies

So sick. This is Timeflies' first official single off their highly anticipated mixtape, The Scotch Tape, and it's a banger. Stunner is actually one of the few tracks that they teased in their Scotch Teaser. Rob puts together an extremely catchy beat, and Cal kills his flow like always. The guys in Timeflies are probably a couple of my favorite artists right now, purely because both are so consistently great. Anyway, listen to the great new single, then get excited for The Scotch Tape.

Lazerblow (Video + MP3) - The White Panda

Hot video for an equally hot track. I know everyone knows The White Panda at this point, so no need to explain them. Another great mashup, this time they mix Kesha with some Coyote Kisses, and then pair it with a video that suits it perfectly. First part of the video is a rockin yacht party, and second part is some GREAT concert footage. Overall, dope. Enjoy.

Right Back - Deon Chase

Another fresh face to the game. Deon Chase is another Boston native looking to make his mark in the game. Deon is a real youngin on his grind (he's not even 17 yet!), and has been putting out music since his freshman year of high school. He's actually opening up for a HotLeaks fav, Moufy on the 22nd of August. This track has a real cool feel about it, and sounds like it could be a hit. Anyway, enjoy the track from new comer, Deon Chase.

Fame (Video) - BBNR!

Since their track, Fame, was so popular, I figured it would only be appropriate for me to post the video for it. Not much to say with this one that I didn't explain when I posted the track. I will say again that their Villains EP is still dropping 08/09/11. Great track, cool video, so enjoy it.

Can't Stop - Mista Mista ft. LJC

Mista Mista is back. In case you don't recognize the name, he released a track back in June with D. Julien, and killed it. Once again, he's back with a really smooth joint. To be honest, I really don't know much about this track, other than it's new. The beat is smooth, and his flow is unbelievably rhythmic, plus the hook is unreal. Check this one out for sure.

The Depression (Video) - Rich Young

This is dope. After hearing about Rich Young from his production/feature on Mike Stud's latest track, I've been on the lookout for any new joints from him. This is one of his latest. It mixes in some spoken word (in the character of a random white collar business man), some wicked, poetic flow, with an amazing hook. This video/track is a real look into Rich Young's views of America right now. Great, heavy stuff. I will be watching for more from Rich Young for sure. I couldn't get my hands on an mp3, do you'll just have to enjoy the video for now.

Headlines - Drake

Drizzy is back. I'll be honest, Drake started to fall off my radar. Not because he wasn't putting out tracks, and not because he was losing ANY popularity. He just fell off because all his stuff started to sound the same to me, and it didn't sound like the Drake I started listening to (kind of the way Wiz Kahlifa has gone in my opinion). Regardless of my previous thoughts, check out the great new Drizzy, that sounds a little like old Drizzy. Enjoy.

Adderall Thoughts - Huey Mack

A little bit of a different flavor from Huey. This time he really spills his heart out, and it's actually extremely well done. If you have been listening to Huey Mack over the last few months, you have probably heard, because I have heard, him really mature as an artist (with the exception of Hope Solo.... but he was drunk, so it was funny as hell). Anyway, great track, so check it out. Enjoy.

Sail Away - PJ Simas

So good, but really, with PJ Simas, I expect greatness at this point. For this track in his End Of School Remix Series, his mixes up Macklemore+Ryan Lweis ft. Fences track, Otherside. Once again, PJ manages to put his own spin and feel on the track, which is one of the reasons why I respect him so much as an artist. Great track, so check it out and DL below.

Scream (Video) - SonReal

Hot visuals for SonReal's latest track, Scream. I love simple videos, plain and simple. When an artist puts together a great video, for a wicked track, you really have all bases covered. The more I listen to this track, the more I see it being a big radio hit. I feel like this one could be SonReal's next step into the mainstream after his last single dropped, I'm Already There, a few months back. If you haven't yet, cop the track below.
