OK. This one has been a long time in the making. PJ is absolutely dope. He raps, he sings, he plays guitar, he produces, he collaborate, pretty much does everything. I downloaded one song of his months and moths back when i saw it online somewhere, and honestly, i have been listening to everyone of his songs religiously ever since. Alright, I've been watching these guys for a while now. Not in the creepy stalker way, but the "your last song was dope" kind of way. A few months back i picked up one of their songs "Party.edu", where they sampled one of my favorite ratatat songs. I have been waiting on the edge of my seat for another song to surface from these boys, and it was so worth the wait. Sick original song (other than the drake sample), which is really refreshing. I stumbled onto this track a little while ago. I've seen a few songs by Rook here and there, but never been really been pulled in. I saw this one and i said to myself, how can someone go over J's track. I listened, and i was impressed. Rook is pretty dope on this track.
I woke up this morning and i just didn't want to get up, but it's that time of year, and i had a final at 9 in the morning. Wasn't feeling going at all, but i knew i had to. I needed a jam to get me up and get pumped, and this song just happened to be up on my ipod. Let me tell you, i was ready to fight after this track. The hook is dope, the rhymes are tight. Alright, It's Friday, and i apologize. It's been a long day of cramming for finals so i really haven't been able to get you as many songs as i would have liked to. I was hooked up with this track yesterday and i have been listening to it on repeat all day. It's by a guy named Black Mic, out of Detroit. The song is from his album, Somthin 2 Ride 2, one of the four projects Hes working on now. I'm really looking forward to what this guy is doin in the future. Solid mellow track, with a real tough Caribbean feel. check it out.
Ok, so a friend of mine showed me this track by a guy named Kokayi. I really didn't know what to think, so i gave er a listen. This song is sick. I dont even know how to classify the song. Just give it a listen, very worth it. I actualy went out and got this whole album becasue of this one song, so you should listen.
DOPE! Thats all i have to say. The White Panda destroy this song. stereo love, by edward maya and vika jigulina, has secretly been on my ipod ever since it came out, i love the song. Someone finally pulled the amazing acordian beat from it. These guys threw it together with Waka Flaka's hood anthem, No Hands, and the product is dope. check it out.
Alright, it's been a long day, and i apologize for not being up on in today, but like i said, been a hell of a long day. I'm gonna start you off with some Matt Clarke. To be honest, i wasn't a huge fan of him for the longest time. I would see drops here and there, and whenever i went to listen to them, they never really pulled me in. I decided to give Teenage Wasteland a go, and let me tell you. Matt Clarke, you are officially back on my radar. I feel like he's matured with this track. Samples "The Who" too, so can't really go wrong with that.
Dope track here. A little while ago i posted a song by Zed's Dead ft Omar Linx, and after enjoying that one, i stumbled upon this gem. A solid beat, a haunting hook, and rough rapping, just overall a really well put together song.
