A big Happy Birthday shoutout to Demps. This new track is actually really dope. Real upbeat, and his flow is sick. I feel like with the last few releases, Demps is really maturing as an artist. I'm still waiting on an MP3 for this one, so you'll have to enjoy it online right now.
No idea how I missed out on Drew Howard. Another dope Canadian artist. Fun story on how I came across him actually. He started following me on twitter (@HotLeaks in case you were curious), and I checked out his YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/officialdrewhoward). This was the first video that popped up, and I was blown away. This kid has got some serious talent. Check out his other stuff on YouTube and Enjoy this one. Watch out for Drew Howard.
Dope. This new Tayyib track is just that. I really can't wrap my head around why the whole world doesn't know about Tayyib yet. I can honestly see this track getting some radio air time. Tayyibs wicked flow, Amandi on the hook, just an all around good song. The video is really well done as well, so shout out to all the people that came together on this one. Anyway, check this one out. Enjoy.
If you haven't jumped on the Tayyib train yet, hit up the Facebook page
This is extremely well done. The video is absolutely mint, and the production on it is amazing. Plus, the track is dope. I love the sample, and Pmac's flow is smooth. So overall, you need to check this one out. Enjoy & grab the track below.
IanJ is back at it. After his mini-mixtape LikeIanJ got rave reviews, he's about to release a full tape, Summer Lights, on Thursday. If this song is a taste of whats coming, this mixtape is going to be wicked. Definitely check this one out. Be on the watch for IanJ to blow up. Enjoy
Truth is at it again. He dropped another dope track leaked from his upcoming mixtape Where' The Exit. From the sounds of these tracks that hes leaked so far, Where's The Exit is going to be unreal. I say it every time, but Truth has such a distinguishable sound, that sets him apart from the rest, so that makes him golden in my books. Enjoy.
New track from Eddy B & Tim Gunter, and it is sick. Long Night is an upbeat track, with a chill feel to it, if that makes any sense. These guys always kill every track they put together. Enjoy.
I'll be honest, I was a little hesitant on this one. The track that SoLo released, The News, was sick. But when I heard "Mystery Girl", I was fearful that this entire mixtape would be auto-tuned to shit, and turned into a dirty mess. I am happy to say that I was wrong, this tape is, as Jon Kilmer would say, "Legit As Balls". There are definitely a couple tracks I'm not a huge fan of on here, but in all honesty, Electric Playground is all around pretty dope. SoLo's flow is sick, and there are more than a few tracks that I have already put on repeat. There are party tracks and chill tracks, so Electric Playground is well rounded. Definitely check this one out, you will enjoy it.
I had never heard of this guy until just the other day. Out of Salem, MA, T. Ryan does all his own rapping and producing, which is dope. Anyway, I spotted the track, That July, over on GMAD a little while back, and I loved it, so I figured I should probably check this guy out. I went and downloaded his mixtape that he released in February, and it doesn't disappoint. I am pretty sure I really dig every single track on this one. Check out the join that turned me onto T. Ryan, and then check out the mixtape, The Other Side.
First thing out of my mouth when I saw this track, "No way". In case your REALLY behind the times, you need to listen to Rebecca Black in all her glory. Now, back to this track. This right here, is why Olu is one of my favorite artists as of late. The fact he can work that song and turn it into a really DOPE track, shows true skill. Olu raps, and Rebecca Black has the hook but chopped and dubbed up. It's not Friday, but, "Partyin, Partyin, SWAG"
**PLUS**
If Friday wasn't your thing, Olu released a freestyle late last night. This one is tough as hell. Olu really is a multi-talented artist. Enjoy this one.
Rook, from the group FlyRydaz, is releasing a solo project, Mixed Ape coming 4/20. First track released, and it's a heavy one to say the least. Really good though. Enjoy.
This is dope. A friend of mine sent this my way. I loved Mac Miller's track, so I was curious how someone else could do on the beat. Mr. Forbes does good. He adds a much rougher feel to the track. Enjoy.
Matt actually sent me this track almost a month ago, as sort of a preview. I loved it when I heard it, because once again, it sounded like he was maturing in his music. He didn't want to release it until he released the video for it, which was completely understandable. Well worth the wait. Plus, theres a point where he's flowing without a beat, and absolutely kills it. Enjoy
