What The Hell (Remix) - Trey Palms

New Trey Palms. He does the same sort of thing that he did with the Whip My Hair Freestyle, where he uses the beat from the original track, and spits over it. This time he uses Avril's hook, and it makes the track quite enjoyable. I still think Trey Palms is extremely underrated , and I think he deserves a hell of a lot more blogging attention than he gets. I'm also a little upset that he didn't send this track my way, but I understand. I don't hold grudges, so check out this sick new track. Enjoy.

Introducing: Gate City Squad

If you have been to the site before, you already know about the boys in Gate City Squad. Their latest track with Mike Stud has been making huge waves online, and they have no plans of stopping anytime soon. I originally heard of these guys after I listened to a track by MattyFee, with a huge feature from Collin McLoughlin, called My Everything. Everyone I showed the track to loved it, and when it was playing on HotLeaks Live, I got a huge spike in listeners, so clearly it was an amazing track. After that, I started following MattyFee on twitter and facebook, which eventually that led to listening to tracks by Gate City Squad. The whole crew consists of 4 college guys from Nashua, NH. Matt and Dan are brothers, and Josh is their cousin. Finally, John, who is a close friend to all the other guys, is the final member of GCS. I'll admit, I'm just a humble blogger, but these guys have some serious potential here, and I could see them start to blow up. Knowing that, I figured I should grab an interview from these guys, before they are too big time. Check it out below, and watch out for more GCS in the future.

HotLeaks - Who started Gate City Squad, and how did you guys come together?

Josh - "Matt took after our uncle and began making music when he was very young. He took up rap and made a bunch of songs with Syntax beats. I jumped on the scene when I was twelve and together we started working pretty consistently. Shortly after that, Dano started getting on the tracks and we kind of subconsciously created a group. Our uncle later deemed us as the "Gate City Squad", and the name stuck. Matt was always the pushing force behind GCS and can be credited with starting the group. John jumped on board this year because of his song-writing ability, creative talents, and great attitude. He makes everything that much easier for the entire group with his laid back personality and willingness to put out good music."
