West Side Stories (Mixtape) - Upper West

Wow. Just wow. Here we have Upper West's amazing debut mixtape. I have been a fan of these guys since back in May when they first dropped their track Ladida. Every track that they have ever dropped has been fantastic, and they all are in regular rotation on my iPod. They have such a great sound that to me, they have been around forever, and are essentially seasoned vets to the game. In actuality, West Side Stories is their debut mixtape, and what a way to debut. Overall, this tape is unreal. Filled with non stop great tracks that I guarantee you will have on repeat. I actually enjoyed this one so much that I really had trouble picking out a few to call my favorites. So here are a few tracks for you to enjoy before you download the whole tape. Enjoy.

Home - Upper West ft. Reef (Of Fortune Family), Gabriel Stark & Sarah Solovay

Ass Back Home (Timeflies Tuesday) - Timeflies

After a couple weeks on the road, Timeflies is finally getting their asses back home. To celebrate, they give us an amazing Timeflies Tuesday where they remix, you guessed it, Ass Back Home. Rob gives the track a refreshing twist and mix, and Cal spits perfectly over top. For the video, it's the normal shots of Cal freestyling (this time, on the tour bus), but they decided to slice in some shots from their shows, which is pretty dope. Anyway, I know you already pressed play, and probably didn't even read this far, so enjoy.

The Rhetorical Tradition (Mixtape) - Matt Easton

I love when this happens. Now, I have been a fan of Matt Easton for a long while now. I feel like I've said this a lot lately, but he was actually one of the first artists who I posted back when HotLeaks first started back in '10. I'm a huge fan of his sound, and I feel like every track that he's dropped has been really enjoyable to listen to. The first joint I heard was Live Life, and from that point on, I was a big fan. The only problem is that Matt always seems to fall just under my radar, which really sucks because he's such a great artist. What I am getting at in a really round about way is that I really had no idea that this mixtape was coming, so it was a pleasant surprise when I saw it earlier today. I just got a chance to sit down and give it a listen, and I was impressed. An all around really solid mixtape from Matt, that really showcases his maturity and growth as an artist. Below are a few of my fav, then you should definitely go download the whole tape. Enjoy it.

The Sun Gon' Set (Prod. by M.E.) - Matt Easton

Beaston (Prod. by M.E.) - Matt Easton

The Game (La La La) - Matt Easton

Comets - Marc Goone

My man Marc Goone is back with another unreal track. This is another drop off his upcoming tape Halfway To Nowhere, which is on track to be one of the tapes that I'm most excited for this year, so far. Comets is all about the daily grind of life, along with all it's up and it's downs. A great track from Goone that is clearly written with a lot of heart. Plus, this video is extremely well done and really captures the feel of the track, which as you all know, I love. Anyway, enjoy the new ish from Goone, and be on the watch for Halfway To Knowhere, coming soon.

Walking Alone (Big Z Remix) - Dirty South

I'll end the night with a little electro banger for you. Some band new Big Z. This time he takes the heavy banger Walking Alone by Dirty South and gives it more of an upbeat electro feel, which is dope if you ask me. I am a huge fan of what Big Z does, whether it's creating unreal remixes of hip-hop and pop tracks (his Can't Get Enough mixtape) or mixing great tracks like this. So, enjoy the great new track, and check out Big Z.

I'm Good - Grynch ft. Sol

It's been a while since I have posted any new stuff from Grynch and for that I'm sorry, because he has seriously been on his grind. This is his latest gem and he actually teams up once again with the extremely talented Sol. In case Grynch is a new name to you, he's a great artist based out of Seattle and has been in the music game for a few years now. He's got an unreal flow and fantastic lyricism that you just cant help but enjoy. This joint is off his upcoming tape Perspective, which is actually dropping this friday, so I'm pretty pumped for that. Anyway, enjoy the great new track.

What Did You Do - Chiddy Bang

A drop from Chiddy Bang that wasn't on their Breakfast album. Now, I'll be up front, the hook on this is just brutal. The flow from Chiddy is unreal and Xaphoon's beat is tight so I guess it makes up for the crappy hook, which is probably why I keep pressing repeat on this one. Enjoy.

Say Yes (Video) - Radical Something

When I bought Radical Something's latest EP, I was blown away. These guys really know how to make enjoyable music. Now, I loved every track on No Sweat, but this track was probably my favorite. Say Yes is extremely catchy, and you can't help but sing along, so when the boys dropped this video for it, I was all over it. It's all done in shot, is actually pretty hilarious, and just like the track, it's enjoyable to watch, because you can tell that the guys are just enjoying life. Anyway, enjoy the video, and if you haven't yet, you need to download No Sweat on iTunes (6 tracks are well worth $2.99).

Gimme That - Eddy B & Tim Gunter

Some brand new Eddy B and Tim Gunter for your listening pleasure. After their last drop (Young Superstars), I couldn't wait to hear what they released next. Let me tell you, they did not fail to impress. This new one is a little bit harder than their last track, but it's still comes off dope. Eddy B spits straight fire all over Tim G's extremely addicting beat. A great track from great artists so enjoy.it.

Celebrate (Remix) - SonReal

SonReal has been killing it lately. This time he jumps on Common's beat Celebrate, and to be honest, he actually holds his own on it. SonReal sounds so comfortable on this track and he manages to make it sound as if the beat was his own. I am so glad that I stumbled on SonReal. He was actually one of the first artists who was featured on HotLeaks back in '10, as well as one of the firsts I started to watch regularly for music.  Anyway, enough of me being nostalgic, so just enjoy the great new track, and get excited for Good News.

Cut Me Off - Cam Meekins

This is hot. Cam Meekins is back again, and he kills it. I said it with his last drop, but this track makes me think that Cam is working on something big. To be honest, Cut Me Off is a little bit more heavy hitting than what you might be used to hearing from Cam, but he pulls it off perfectly. I really like where he is going with his sound. Now, I will say that the visuals are a little odd, but they are still really enjoyable to watch. A great new track, from a great artist. Enjoy.

Jet Plane - Jazz Cartier

Now here's a name I haven't seen in a while. Jazz Cartier. In case you don't remember him, Jazz is a fantastic up and coming artist who is based out of Toronto. He has a real smooth and fluid sound paired with fantastic lyricism, and is just overall enjoyable to listen to. From what he says, the reason Jazz has been absent is that he's been focusing on school and has been pretty much isolated from civilization. This is off his upcoming project Marauding In Paradise, which I am pretty excited for. Anyways, enjoy the new track.

Keep It Lit (Video) - KA5UM

A good friend of HotLeaks, KA5UM, dropped some new visuals for his latest mash Keep It Lit. A classic mash video that really captures the feel of this track. It was actually put together by the same guy who does videos for Kap Slap and 3LAU, so clearly KA5UM is making some waves, so if your not familiar by now, you should be. Enjoy.

Girls Talk (Mixtape) - The Jane Doze

I have been waiting anxiously for this one since first hearing about it. The Jane Doze finally drop their mixtape, Girls Talk, a 12 track masterpiece. Six tracks we've heard before along with six brand new ones, all of which are oozing awesomeness. I have said it before, but these girls know how to create amazing tracks, because I am yet to hear one from them that I don't like. Anyway, if you enjoy mash tracks, if you love remixes, or if you want to rage on a Monday night (or whatever other night), this is the tape for you. Enjoy it.

No Love Stories Without Pretty Girls - The Jane Doze

I Know Heaven Is Eternal - The Jane Doze

Wild Ones Take Over - The Jane Doze

Replacement Ros - The Jane Doze

Download: Girls Talk

Night Sky (Video) - Beau Young Prince

I already told you that I loved this track when it dropped a few weeks ago, so when I saw that Beau Young Prince dropped a set of visuals to accompany it, I had to check it out. A great video to go along with a great track. I said it before, but in case you missed it, this gem is off YP's upcoming tape, Dream Catcher, which I know will be great. Anyway, enjoy the new video.

Better Way - Nick Nemesis

Here's a new face to HotLeaks. Nick Nemesis is a dope up and comer out of West Chester, PA who I have been sleeping on for a while now. I want to say I'm sorry because he really has a great sound, an ill flow and fantastic lyricism. After hearing this sick track, I am definitely on the watch now. Better Way is a drop off Nick's upcoming mixtape Heart N Soul, which if it sounds anything like this track, I will be all over it. Anyway, enjoy the track.

Marilyn - G-Eazy ft. Dominique LeJeune

Wow, so I really missed out on this one. G-Eazy dropped this track almost a week ago now, and I'm extremely sorry because this one is truly amazing. I have said it before, but G-Eazy is a fantastic artist. I am yet to hear a track from him that I haven't enjoyed. Plus, I know people say this about artists all the time, but in all honesty, G-Eazy has managed to really grow and mature his sound into something even greater than what is was previously. Anyway, enjoy the great track, and support this amazing artist buy buying this one on iTunes. Enjoy.

Blown Away - Matt Clarke ft. Philly G

Once again, Matt Clarke shows us why he is one to watch. In case you've been sleeping, Matt Clarke is a dope up and comer out of Arlington, MA, and has been in the game for a just a few years now. I like to think that Matt Clarke and HotLeaks have somewhat of a relationship , purely because he was one of the first artists who I posted on the site back in the beginning (back in December 2010, so it's been a while). Anyway, here is a great new track from him, and it's probably one of my favorites that I have heard so far. He teams up with fellow Mass artist Philly G (who I hadn't heard of until now, but I will definitely be on the watch for now), and their sounds manage to compliment one another perfectly. A great track, so enjoy it.

Last Time (Video) - Labrinth

I'm starting to think Labrinth has a thing for really shitty 3D animations. Seriously, this is his second set of visuals (first being the video for Earthquake) where he's jumping around in an animated world. I don't know whether it's the cool thing to do over in Europe right now, but I can't honestly see this video going big purely because of the video. Anyway, that's my rant about the video. About the track (because I'm realizing I never posted it), it's extremely catchy. It has huge radio potential, but not TV potential (if you know what I mean). Enjoy it regardless.

Tonight Is The Night (Timeflies Remix) - Outasight feat. Timeflies

I am officially blown away. Now, I am a big fan of Outasight's sound purely because everything he has ever dropped has been unbelievably catchy (check out his Get It Together mixtape if don't believe me). I am also a huge fan of Timeflies, and have been for a long time now. So, when I just saw that they teamed up for a remix to Outasight's latest joint, Tonight Is The Night, I knew it had to be good. Little did I know that it would be this good. Now, Cal jumps in for a quick verse and he kills it, but the real shining star here is Rob's production. It is honestly unreal. If you like Outasight, you need to check it out. If you like Timeflies, you need to download this. If you enjoy good music, you have to check this one. This is not a track you should miss out on, so enjoy it.

I Don't Dance - DMX ft. MGK

Wow. This is unreal. First off, I thought DMX was gone. I thought after the BET Hip Hop awards, he would just disappear again. Second, I would have never thought that if he came back he would team up with Machine Gun Kelly. All that being said, this track is absolutely insane. DMX goes hard as hell, acting like he never left, and MGK holds his own and kills it. This track is a must download for anyone. Enjoy this one.

Change The World (Video) - Miracle x Lazy J

One of my favorite tracks ff of Miracle's latest mixtape, Trash Musik III, gets a great set of visuals to go along with it. I am such a big fan of Miracle, and yes I say it every time I post about him, but I really think more people should pay attention to what he's doing. He's got such a great refreshing sound, and is not an artist you should sleep on. Anyways, enjoy the new video.

Wednesday, February 22, 2012

Tuna Roll Freemix - Olu

Some hot new Olu for your listening pleasure. The last few tracks that he's dropped have been softer, and he's generally taken a more indie route for his sampling. This time, he shows us that he can still spit hard as hell on a real tough, bass heavy beat. Olu really shows us his diversity as an artist, proving again why he is one of my favorites. Enjoy this one.

The Coldplay Sessions (Mixtape) - M.i

The day has finally arrived. After all these fantastic leaks, M.i finally blesses us with the finished product known as The Coldplay Sessions. Let me just say, this mixtape is unreal. Every track is thoroughly enjoyable, and I have yet to find a single one that I don't like on this tape. In case you couldn't guess from the title of the mixtape, M.i takes a bunch of Coldplay's instrumentals and vocals and gives them an amazing and fresh feel. His flow is gorgeous on every single one of these self-produced tracks. This mixtape really is a masterpiece of artistry if you ask me. Anyway, I sound like I am hyping this up way too much, so just take a listen to a few of my favorites, cop the whole tape, and enjoy.

Go - M.i

My Song - M.i ft. Lady A

Fade - M.i

Download: The Coldplay Sessions

Grew Up Fast - J. Cole

Welcome back Cole. After his album dropped, he's been kind of floating in the background not doing a ton. I remember the days where I would be waiting anxiously for the new drop from Cole. It feels like forever ago, and in all honesty, I miss it. So when I saw this new drop from him accompanied with the following tweet:

"Missed this feelin. I know you did too. ENJOY"
I knew I had to press download. Let me tell you, it does not fail to impress because Cole absolutly kills this soulful joint. A great track from the extremely talented J. Cole, so enjoy it.

Alcohol (Timeflies Tuesday) - Timeflies

These guys just don't stop. Here's another unreal Timeflies Tuesday from Cal and Rob. This time Cal freestyles about the liquor he sees as he walking behind a bar with his mic, and to be honest, that sounds like a ridiculous concept, but he manages to spit straight gold. Plus, as always, Rob puts together a gorgeous, extremely catchy beat. You can't NOT enjoy this one.

Heartbeat (JUSTIN W. Remix) - Childish Gambino

When I saw this remix, I instantly thought that JUSTIN W. had jumped on the beat, and spit some bars, but when I pressed play, I was pleasantly surprised. JUSTIN W. takes Gambino's track and gives it a whole new and amazing feel. He mixes it up and gives it almost an electro/house vibe that actually sounds fantastic. This really shows off how diverse of an artist he is. Anyway, this is one you should not miss, so enjoy it.

The Spotlight - Logic

Now this is someone to really watch. In case you aren't yet, you need to be familiar with Logic, an amazing emcee out of Maryland. I actually believe that his mixtape, Young Sinatra, that he dropped back in September was one of the best mixtapes of the year. He's got Great lyricism, great samples, and fantastic flow, and once again, he proves all that with this track, so enjoy it.

Dear No One - Truth Himself

Another drop off of Truth Himself's After School Special. He is officially on week 3, and he is still killing it. Once again, he tells a gorgeous story, but that is expected at this point. Truth is honestly gaining some serious ground in becoming one of my favorite artists out right now, so you should definitely get familiar. Anyway, enjoy the great new track.

N****s in Poorest - Yasiin Bey (Mos Def)

In case you haven't heard yet, Mos Def is officially known as Yasiin Bey now. As he said, "that period in my life is over". Now that that's all cleared up, here is Mos Def's (I'm sorry, but that's what he'll always be for me) latest and it's pretty heavy. He takes on, you guessed it, Ni**as In Paris, and flips it on it's head. Pretty much lyrically, the complete opposite of the original. I'm still kind of on the fence for this one, so make up your own mind about it. In case the title or my description didn't get you to watch this, maybe this quote will:
"Fake Gucci, my ni**a.  Fake Louis, my killa. Real drugs, my dealer. Who the f*ck is Margiela. Doctors say I'm the illest, I ain't got no insurance, It's them ni**as who poorest, be them rebel guerrillas."
Enjoy.

Breathe - Iron Solomon

I am so glad that my buddy told me about Iron Solomon, because if he hadn't I would have never heard wicked tracks like this one. This gem is off his upcoming debut album, Monster, which if it sounds anything like this (or his last track with Talib Kweli), I will be all over it. Iron Solomon, in case you missed the last drop, has amazing lyricism and flow. He has a sound that reminds me a bit of Crooked I, which is dope if you ask me. Anyway, enjoy the new track.

Feel Alive - PropaneLV

Brand new track from PropaneLV, and it's a dope one. In case you've been sleeping, LV is a dope up and comer out of Portland, OR. He's got a wicked flow, and always manages to create really enjoyable tracks. Propane kills this with smooth flow and an amazing hook. Definitely don't sleep on this one.

Monday, February 20, 2012

So Good - B.o.B

I couldn't wait any longer. B.o.B dropped a brand new track a couple hours ago, and let me tell you, it is unreal. This is the second drop off his upcoming project Strange Clouds, which is on track to be a sick album. Anyway, I can guarantee you will enjoy this one, so don't miss out.

Dose Of Dopeness - Kid Cudi

Figured I couldn't pass this one up. Some brand 'new' Cudi. It's actually an unreleased joint from back in '08, but it's still really sick. A great track, and I'll be honest, I'm really pumped for WZRD now. Enjoy this one.

Download

Fall Back (Video) - Yonas

Yonas is back with a great set of new visuals. This joint is for one of my favorite tracks off of his latest album, The Proven Theory (which if you haven't yet, you need to cop that on iTunes). I'm pretty sure that I haven't heard a track from Yonas that I haven't liked, which is saying something about how great an artist he is. Anyway, enjoy the new video.

Buried Alive - Ground Up ft. Vanessa Winters

Another drop off Ground Up's mixtape, The Get Up. Once again, it's a dope one, and this time, they also grab Vanessa Winters for an amazing hook. I love hearing when Ground Up teams up with Bij Lincs, because every time they do, they always drop something gold. Anyway, enjoy the new track, and get excited for The Get Up.

Starfall (Original Mix) - Moralo

Here's a Monday Banger for you. A little different than what I normally post, but who doesn't love a little electronic/house banger every so often. I really don't know much about this guy, other than that his name is Moralo, and that he just started up a YouTube channel. I got sent a random email about this guy, so I figured I might as well give it a go, and I was pleasantly surprised. The tempo and synths on this remind me a little of Avicii, which is pretty dope.Anyways, enjoy this one.

Sunday, February 19, 2012

Moony (Video) - G-Riot

One of my favorite all time tracks from G-Riot finally gets the visual treatment it deserves. In case you don't know him, G-Riot is a name you should really get to know because, he's a fantastic artist based out Boston who has a real sick flow. A hot video for a great track, so enjoy it.

Ayy Caramba - Jigz The Flyer ft. Jitta On The Track

A hot treat for your Sunday night. I'll be honest, I had no idea who Jigz The Flyer was, but when Jitta posted this for his feature, I had to check it out. Jigz is an up an comer out of Connecticut who has been rapping since high school. I can tell that I'll be watching out for more from this Jigz, because he has a dope sound and flow. Enjoy this one.

NoThing - M.i

Here is the final drop off of M.i's upcoming project The Coldplay Session, which he's releasing on the 21st, and to no one's surprise, it's gorgeous. M.i has such a smooth flow, great lyricism and his production skills are unreal. Overall, he's an amazing artist. I am extremely excited to hear this mixtape, so be on the watch for it. Enjoy.

Extra Well - Chiddy Bang ft. Chip Tha Ripper

A new leak off of Chiddy Bang's upcoming project, Breakfast, with a huge ft from Chip Tha Ripper. Now, I'll be straight, when I first buzzed through this one I wasn't quite sold, but after another listen, I was hooked. So, if you don't like it right away, play it again, and then I know it'll grow on you. Enjoy it.

Thursday, February 16, 2012

Into The Light - Truth Himself ft. Anna

I may have been wrong about this one. Every single song that Truth Himself has dropped so far from his After School Special series has been golden. So, Truth, I'm sorry for underestimating your talents as an artist. Anyways, this brand new track tells a gorgeous story of a girl who goes through a roller coaster ride of emotions with her boyfriend. Truth has an amazing ability to tell fantastic stories with his words, which is why I am such a big fan of him. So, enjoy this great new track.

Let It Go - Chuck Revere

It's been a little bit since we've heard from Chuck Revere, but the kid is back and he's killing it. For this joint off his upcoming mixtape, Better Late Than Never, he jumped on a sampled version of Avicii's Enough is Enough and killed it. I think Chuck has a lot of potential, because he has a dope flow and great rhymes, so definitely be on the watch for more from him. Enjoy.

Heartbeat (Video) - Childish Gambino

Wow, I am sorry for this one. Gambino dropped this visuals for this almost a week ago now, and I'm just posting them now. What happened was I had the link open to remind me to post it, but then my computer shut down and I completely forgot about it. Anyway, here are some new-ish visuals for one of my favorite tracks off  Camp, Heartbeat.

Wednesday, February 15, 2012

Genesis (Ryan Hemsworth Remix) - Grimes ft. Deniro Farrar

This is just simply gorgeous. My man Ryan Hemsworth posted this joint yesterday, and I'll be honest, it has been on repeat since then. Ryan works magic with the sounds on this one, and creates a mix that complements Grimes & Deniro Farrar's flow perfectly. I can guarantee you will like this one, so definitely don't pass it up. Enjoy it.

Rich Kid (Prod. by Brenton Duvall & CJ Luzi) - OnCue

Ok, now this is a track. First off, OnCue has always had a special spot in my music collections, because he was one of the first guys whose sound really caught my ear. Since then, he has been one of my favorite artists. Second thing about this track is the HUGE teamup of the always talented Brenton Duvall with the amazing CJ Luzi for this beat. Overall, unreal. This is not a track you will want to miss.

Ruins (EP) - Riley

The day has finally arrived. A great friend to HotLeaks, Riley dropped his latest project yesterday, and I just got a chance to enjoy it today. Ruins is a fantastic EP that really showcases Riley's talents as an artist. I have said it 100 times already, but Riley has such a great and original sound, his cadence is unmatched, and his flow is fantastic. My ONLY complaint about this EP is that it's a bit too short. Yes, I know it's an EP and it's meant to be short, but it just leaves me wanting more from him. Anyway, check out a couple of my favs, then go cop the entire Ruins EP. Enjoy it.

Psychobabble - Riley

Without You - Riley

All Or Nothing - Riley

Download: Ruins EP

I Will Always Love You (Timeflies Tuesday) - Timeflies

The first #TimefliesTuesday from the boys while they're on the road. I want to talk about the production on this one to start. It's so simple, yet amazing, so huge ups to Rob for that. Now, we all know Cal is the freestyle king at this point, but this time he manages to freestyle using sweet heart candies, which is pretty crazy. Anyways, check this out because I know you'll enjoy this one.

Cupid - Zak Downtown

It's been a minute since I've heard from Zak Downtown. He dropped this gem earlier today, which you can probably tell by the very appropriate name, and I just got a chance to sit down check it out. An amazing new track that is already stuck in my head. Zak has such a dope sound, so if your not familiar, you should definitely check him out. Don't miss this one.

Pretend We're In Love (Video) - Luke Christopher

Simple, yet elegant. That describes this video perfectly. This is a brand new video for Luke Christopher's track Pretend We're In Love off his latest, amazing, mixtape Building Skies. This is actually one of my favorite tracks off the mixtape, so when I saw that it had a video, I felt I needed to post it. Anyway, enjoy, and if you haven't yet, you need to check out Building Skies.

Count On It - Dunson

I hate to say it, but Dunson somehow manages to fly under my radar. I have no idea why but I know it's a sham, because he has such a great sound. I can tell you though, I will be watching a hell of a lot more intently after hearing this track, because Count On It is fantastic. This is actually his first drop off his upcoming mixtape, The Investment, which from the sounds of it will be pretty good. Anyway, enjoy this one.

Everything I Am (Video) - Tarik

Tarik dropped some brand new visuals a couple days ago, and I just got a chance to watch em tonight.A great video to accompany an amazing track off his T.R.I.G.S. mixtape. I have said it before, but Tarik is extremely underrated in the game right now. His flow is just so fluid and his lyrics are always so real and filled with emotion. Anyway, enjoy this one.

Valentine (Cut Me Loose) - Radical Something

Happy early Valentine's Day from Radical Something. The decided to drop this gem of a track, off their upcoming EP, No Sweat which is dropping the 26th. Valentine, in typical Radical Something fashion, is really enjoyable and extremely catchy. Definitely don't miss this one. Enjoy it.

Monday, February 13, 2012

Critic - Mike Stud

The always dope Mike Stud does it again with this track. Critic is a real smooth track from Mike all about, you guessed it, how everyone is a critic. I am so glad that I got turned onto Mike Stud, because to be honest, I did dismiss him when I first heard his stuff purely because it came off really cocky. But, Stud has grown a hell of a lot, and matured into a great artist since then, so I am a big fan now. A fantastic track from the King of Frat Rap. Enjoy it.

Heard About It - Ground Up ft. Freeway

With another drop off the upcoming tape, The Get Up, Ground Up hits gold once again. This time they team up with Freeway on a Jahlil Beats production and absolutely kill it. I am such a big fan of these guys, and with each new track I hear, the more I get excited for The Get Up. Enjoy it.

Quit Your Day Job (Mixtape) - Kam Royal

The wait is finally over. Kam Royal dropped his highly anticipated mixtape Quit Your Day Job yesterday, and it lives up to the hype. Overall, Kam does an amazing job on this mixtape, and really shows off his skills as an artist. He has wicked flow, fantastic lyrical content, and great cadence. Just an all around great artist. Definitely check this tape out, and enjoy it.

Thought You Knew (Prod. by Kid Vision) - Kam Royal ft. Julian Malone

Velvet Ropes (Prod. by Felix Beats) - Kam Royal

Wassup (Prod. by Felix Beats) - Kam Royal

Download: Quit Your Day Job

Adderall Thoughts (Video) - Huey Mack

Huey Mack dropped the official visuals for his lyrically deep track, Adderall Thoughts, yesterday, and I am just getting a chance to check them out now. A great video that really encompasses the emotion of this one. Enjoy it.

Youth - The Dean's List ft.Sid Sriram

We finally get some brand new Dean's List, and it was well worth the wait. This is their first drop off their upcoming project, Generation X, and it's a hell of a way to start off. It reminds me a bit of their sound on their mixtape, Undeclared, which is pretty dope if you ask me. Anyway, enough of me talking about it, because I know your going to check it out. Enjoy.

Open - CJ Trillo

The first drop of 2012 from CJ Trillo (formerly Suck Free CJ), and it is really a great one. With production from FcukNormality, CJ gives us an amazing new track to start the year (from him at least). I have been a fan of CJ for a while now, so anything that he releases is great, but with this track, he has really cleaned up his vocals production wise, which is dope. An amazing track, from a fantastic (and really under-rated) artist. Enjoy this one.

Sunday, February 12, 2012

Victim of a Wish - DJ 21azy

Another hot mix from DJ 21azy. This time he takes Victim of a Crime, I Wish and Shutterbug and creates a whole new, dope track. Enjoy it.

Friday, February 10, 2012

Keep It Lit - KA5UM

A perfect track for your Friday night. This is KA5UM's second mash and he absolutely kills it. He takes the tracks Set Fire To The Rain, Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall, and Axwell & Sebastian Ingrosso's Together (Thand Remix) and blends them gorgeously. Definitely one of my favorite mashes in a while, and a must for any rager tonight. Enjoy it.

Earthquake (Remix) - Labrinth ft. Busta Rhymes

I couldn't pass this one up. One of my favorite banger tracks of the last little while (that if you ask me, didn't get the kind of attention it deserved) gets an official remix from the king, Busta Rhymes. You know the track is already sick, so with Busa for a verse, it's on a whole new level. So sick. Perfect for any party this weekend, so enjoy it.

Ni**as In Paris (Video) - Jay-Z & Kanye

Really hot visuals. I have watched them about 10 times now, but I will say that they are a little bit of a cop out. After the video for Otis, I was expecting something huge, but they decided to do a live footage video. It was done extremely well, but like I said, I was expecting something big. Anyway, enjoy the dope new visuals.

Addiction - Hendersin ft. JT Evans

I love everything that Hendersin, plain and simple. He's one of those artist where I don't even need to hear the track, I just press download knowing it will be good. A great new track to hold us over until Henny In Ya System drops, so enjoy it.

Fallin' Down On Grey Street - Truth Himself

Alright, so here's the latest drop from Truth Himself's After School Special series, and it's actually amazing. Fallin Down On Grey Street tells a fantastic story, and once again, manages to show off Truth's talents as an artist. So far so good on these daily drops from Truth. Enjoy.

Paradise - M.i

With the third drop from M.i off his upcoming Coldplay Sessions, he takes on their track Paradise, and let me say, he does an amazing job. He takes a song that everyone knows and loves, and gives it a whole new feel, but without destroying the original track. I am now even more pumped to hear The Coldplay Sessions. Enjoy.

Moments Like These - BLUEfiveone

This is why I love getting emails, because every so often I come across a gem like this. Here is a track from an artist who I hadn't heard of until this, BLUEfiveone. He's a great up and coming artist out of Reston, VA, and he has a really dope sound. This joint kind of reminds me of Flipsyde, just the way he flows, along with the whole alt rock with hip hop blended into it, which isn't a bad thing at all. Plus he has a ton of emotion behind his verses, which is something that you really can hear. Definitely check this one out, and be on the watch for more from BLUEfiveone.

Liquor Store (Video) - Sam Lachow ft. Raz & Ariana DeBoo

This is sick. Now, I had first heard from Sam Lachow last week with his mixtape Brand New Bike (which if you haven't checked out already, you need to now), and already he's dropping dope new tracks. I am starting to become a big fan of this guy. Liquor Store is a really smooth track that you can't help but enjoy. Sam drops the first verse and shows us why he is seriously one to watch out for, Ariana DeBoo gives us an amazingly soulful hook, and Raz drops a dope second verse. Overall, a fantastic track. No DL yet, but Sam is dropping a free EP soon, and it'll be on that. I'm already on the edge of my seat waiting for it. Enjoy

Time Goes By (Timeflies Tuesday) - Timeflies

They're back again. Timeflies kills their last Tuesday before the hit the road for their tour. This time Rob grabs a tiny sample of Madonna (because you know, she was the halftime show) and then gives it a sick beat, and as always, Cal has a stunning freestyle. Enjoy this one.

On A Roll - Matt Clark ft. JWonder

It's been a while since we've heard from Matt Clarke, but it was well worth the wait. He teams up with JWonder, who gives this track an extremely catchy hook, and drops this all around enjoyable track. After hearing this one, I'm excited to hear more from Matt Clarke. Check this one out for sure.

25th Hour (Video) - EQ

The lyrical up and comer EQ gives us a dope #EQTuesday, a series set up by EQ to drop new tracks/videos. In case you aren't familiar, EQ is a great up and coming artist out of Richmond, VA who has some serious lyrical muscle. A dope track/video from a dope artist. Enjoy.

Blur - Tech N9ne ft. Wreckonize

Wow. I love Tech N9ne, plain and simple. This is a drop off his upcoming EP Kulsterfuk, and it is unreal. Tech just spits fire over a simple and addicting beat, and then the hook comes in with a subtle dub feel. So dope. Enjoy this one.

Odd Soul (Video) - Riley

My man Riley drops some dope new visuals for his latest single off his upcoming Ruins EP. A great new track from a great artist, and I'll be honest, this just gets me more excited to hear the Ruins EP. Enjoy.

Don't Think About It - Truth Himself

Talk about a surprise. Right after he comes back from a long hiatus, Truth Himself is back again with another fantastic track. He's got such a dope sound, and this track really showcases it. Anyway, from what I can gather, this is one of many tracks that Truth will be releasing over the next while. He has a plan on dropping a new track every day at 5pm. Now, I am a huge fan of Truth Himself, but I've said it before, quality beat quantity any day, so I'm a bit worried about the amount of tracks that he's dropping. I still have high hopes though. Anyway, enjoy the great new track.

A Son's Prayer - Sound FX

I'm realizing as I post this, that I have never posted a track from Sound FX, a sick duo out of Riverside, CA. I could have sworn I did, but I guess unfortunately, I didn't, so for that I'm sorry. These guys have a real raw sound mixed with fantastic lyricism. The beat to this one is filled with a beautiful piano melody, with a nice bass hit in the back. Over top, they spit a great, smooth flow, and over all, it comes out great. Definitely don't miss this one, and be on the watch for more from Sound FX.

Overboard (Video) - Ground Up ft. Young Chris

Now this is exactly what I imagined the video for this track would be like. A great set of visuals to accompany this dope track off Ground Up's upcoming project, The Get Up, dropping 3.6.12. Enjoy.

In The Background - New Linen

I figured I would wait until the guys drop an MP3 for this, but I just couldn't wait any longer, because I feel like I needed to show you this wicked track. The boys of New Linen are back, and they decided to drop this gem on Saturday off their upcoming EP, Shadows. If this track is any taste of what is to come, Shadows is going to be fantastic. Don't miss this one.

YFN - Kiddo

This joint is a drop off Kiddo's upcoming mixtape, The X Factor. To be honest, I had no idea this tape was even in the works, so when I saw that, I was pleasantly surprised. Kiddo kills this track, and it definitely gets me pumped to hear The X Factor, which is dropping Feb 15th. Enjoy this one.

Break (Prod. by Sucka Free CJ) - Olu

Another amazing drop off Olu's upcoming mixtape, Cover Letters. This time he grabs the talented Sucka Free CJ for some amazing production. CJ mixes up The Script's Breakeven, and gives it a gorgeous, haunting feel, and of course Olu gives the track life with his  fantastic flow and lyrical ability. I have said it before, but when Olu and Sucka Free CJ team up, something golden always comes out of it, and this is one of those times. Definitely don't miss this one. Enjoy.

Fuck That (I'mma Be Fine) - AudioDax

I love everything that these guys do. AudioDax gives us another amazing track that I can guarantee you will be singing along to. This is a drop off their upcoming project, The Kids Are Alright, and from the sounds of this track (along with everything that these guys have ever done) it's going to be fantastic. I know you'll enjoy this one, and watch out for more from AudioDax.

Bedtime - SonReal ft. Saigon

SonReal dropped this one on Thursday, and I am just getting a chance to sit down and give it a listen. This is the first leak off his upcoming album Good News and it's a hell of a banger. He teams up with Superville for a real heavy beat, and Saigon for a tough verse. Overall, a dope new track that has definitely got me pumped for Good News. Enjoy.
