Trouble On My Mind - Pusha T ft. Tyler, The Creator

I'm going to say right up front, I hate the hook on this. It's awful. But other than that, the track is sick. Pusha does his thing, and Tyler is rough as always. A dark track, but great. Enjoy it.

Drinking & Driving - Pries

I do no condone or endorse the title or message of this song, but it's sick regardless. Now that that's out of the way, a sick new track from Pries. He slows it down on this one, and gives his shot at singing, and it's honestly not bad at all. It's actually really enjoyable. Check this one out, and Enjoy.

Take Me Over - Kresado

I have no idea when this came from, but I love it. I got an email, which pretty much just said, "you should check this song out". It came from Lauren Vogel, the female singer in Kresado. It may not seem that odd to you, but most times when I get an email for a submission, it's usually a paragraph or two with an artist's bio and reasons why I should post it. The fact that it was a 2 line email made me curious, so I had to check it out. I loved the track when I heard it. A real house feel to it, so its perfect for a monday night rager. I look forward to hearing more from Kresado. Enjoy.

The Mack Verse - J. Lee

Short but sweet. J. Lee sent this my way a couple days ago, and I love it. The beat is catchy as hell, his flow is smooth, and his rhymes are sick. My only complaint is that it's too short. I wish it had a quick hook, and then another verse, but that's just me. Anyway, I like the track, and the video is really well put together. I hope J. Lee continues to put out tracks like this, because I like this kind of sound. Enjoy.

Colours (Stars) - Skizzy Mars

Some brand new Skizzy Mars. After his last couple tracks (Douchebag and Profound) blew up around the web, he drops this new joint. Skizzy jumps on a Xaphoon Jones produced beat, and absolutely kills it. I can see big things coming from Skizzy Mars, so watch out this year. Enjoy.

American Spirit Freestyle - Kinetics & Accent

I love artists on their grind. Kinetics is one of those guys. He's got real skill, and is really doing his thing well. Anyway, you definitely know his name from the NY duo, Kinetics & One Love, and he's now working on an EP with another NYC rapper, Accent. I had never heard of Accent before I got this email, but honestly, if you have Kinetics backing you, you must have some skill. This little gem is an ACTUAL (not a fake) freestyle. Really off the top of their head, with a freestyled hook that was looped in later by One Love. Amazing skill showcase on this track. Enjoy it, get excited for the upcoming Kinetics & Accent colabo EP and check out Kinetics on Facebook.

*****

PLUS, a small treat for you. Kinetics & Accent actually worked together back in '08, before Kinetics even hooked up with One Love. Here are a couple tossback tracks to give you another taste of what's to come.

Beauteous - Kinetics ft. Accent

Time Flies - Kinetics ft. Accent & Krystyle

I Can't Stop Freestyle (Video) - Chiddy Bang

Love it. Chiddy Bang released some visuals for their track I Can't Stop Freestyle, from thier latest tape, Peanut Butter & Swelly. The video fits the track perfectly, so you really can't ask for anymore than that. Enjoy.

The Introduction (Mixtape) - P-Holla

This is hot. P-Holla has been featured here on HotLeaks a couple times, and he finally released his debut mixtape, The Introduction. I really like his sound, and I have high hopes for P-Holla. He has actually been working on this mixtape diligently for the last 3 months, perfecting it, and not just rapping, he has also been producing most of the tracks as well. He did grab some help from TUCKBeats and Mr. Rogers for a couple tracks, but they are mostly self produced. Plus he has a couple sick features from some other up and comers, Skizzy Mars and IanJ. Enjoy a couple of my favs, then cop the whole tape.

Winter Snow - D.N.A. ft. Dylan Owen

Another track from an artist that I hadn't heard of, and grabbed because of the wicked feature. Dylan Owen is no stranger to HotLeaks (even did an interview) , so when he posted this joint where he was feature, I downloaded without a second thought. So glad I did. Winter Snow is a great track. D.N.A's flow is so smooth, and Dylan is on point like always. A great track, so I will be looking for any new D.N.A. Enjoy.

Bottled Emotions - I.O.U. ft. Evangelia

This is sick. Perfect track for your Friday night. I.O.U. are a couple of Jersey boys who have some serious skill. Formerly known as Deuce1s, I.O.U. stands for In Our Universe. I spotted this track floating around the web a little bit, but it didn't get much hype so I honestly didn't think much of it. Then I got an email with the track and the video, and I was hooked. A really well done track. I.O.U. are releasing an album in a few days  (July 10th to be exact), B.O.M.B (Breaking Our Mind Barriers), and if it sounds anything like this track, I will be posting ASAP. Enjoy.

Shoot Me Down - Cello Kid

It's been a while since I have seen anything from Cello Kid. He released a mixtape back in February and sent it my way, but I feel bad, because I never ended up posting it. I got the email in the middle of midterms and just a really busy week, so once again it got kind of lost in the mix. I downloaded the zip, but never unzipped it, which is a shame, because it had some pretty sick tracks on it. Anyway, here's a new track from Cello. It really shows off his raw talent. This one is the first single off his upcoming mixtape, "Ready, Set...", which is being released on Labor day. Check it out, and get excited.

Plus a treat, stream/download his old mixtape, Forget Me Not below.

It's All Beautiful - Felly ft. Sucka Free CJ

Spotted this amazing track earlier today. Sucka Free CJ posted is on his facebook, and the second he did, I downloaded it. I honestly didn't even listen to it before I downloaded, because I know with CJ on it, it's going to be great. I had never heard of Felly, but he has some serious skill. His flow is golden. Will definitely be on the watch for more after this one. Amazingly smooth track, so it's perfect for when your just relaxing. Enjoy it.

DreamKilla - Frank Ocean

Some unreleased Frank Ocean for you. Don't know much about the history / origin of this one, but it sounds a little older, possibly when Frank went by Sonny Breaux. Any Frank is good Frank at this point. Enjoy.

Stamina - Three Sheet

This is pretty sick. A friend of mine is all up on the local scene and told me about these guys. Hailing from my hometown of Halifax NS, these guys have such a sick sound. If you ever visit the site, you know that I love people with an original sound, and Three Sheet have it. Their sound is synth free, loop free, and consists of pure beatboxing, vocals and real instrumentals. Sick sound. Check out the track below, and if you like what you hear, go grab their latest album Sheet Music.

Where's Waldo? (Video) - SonReal

Some hot new visuals from SonReal, for the title track off his mixtape, Where's Waldo. When I first heard this track, it sounded really rushed to me. Not rushed as in it was too quickly put together, just as in it sounded really quick (if that makes any sense). So the fact the video is some well put together shots of SonReal running while he's rapping, fits the sound perfectly to me. Anyway, check it out, and if you haven't already, listen to + grab Were's Waldo? below.
