In my opinion, ANTHM is exactly what hip hop needs. He's a real wordsmith, and his flow is just plain impeccable. I say it every time, but if somehow you're still sleeping, it's time to get familiar.

Fckinwitmycity - Pretty Boy Cuv

He's back at it again. Pretty Boy Cuv, my hometown hero is back again, and just as expected, he killed it. This time he's put together another original track, which is actually off his upcoming project, Ratchetness vs. Righteousness, so be on the lookout for that. Enjoy.

Ride (Acoustic) - Timeflies

I love it when Timeflies does acoustic versions of their own tracks. Yes, the acoustic Timeflies Tuesdays are great, but when they do it for their own original tracks, there's almost something magical that happens (check out I Choose U if you don't believe me). Don't let yourself miss out on this one.

Step (Remix) - Vampire Weekend ft. Danny Brown, Heems & Despot

I've honestly never really been a huge fan of Vampire Weekend. Not that I despise their music, it's just that I can't say that I've really ever gone out of my way to listen to one of their tracks. Well I wen't out of my way for this one the second I saw the Danny Brown feature, and before you ask, yes, it actually works pretty well. Cop it below and make your own opinions.

War - Common

Common announced a collab project with No I.D., Nobody's Smiling, earlier today, and only a few hours after that, the first taste of it hit the web. As expected it's exactly what you would expect from a No I.D x Common collab, a hard hitting militaristic beat that showcases Common's flow. Check it below.

Another gem I managed to sleep on over the break. Everyone's favorite underground Manhattan rapper Skizzy Mars dropped a great track right before Christmas, and just like his previous (Summer11), it shows some serious growth, and actually rivals as one of my favorite Skizzy tracks to date. I'll start this one off with a Hello. I feel like that's really essential because I've taken a serious hiatus over the last couple weeks, and so I would like to apologize as well. It was Christmas time (as you probably noticed), so between work, seeing family, spending time with friends, and copious amounts of drinking, I didn't really have a ton of time to update the site.
